8th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)I sold my house in Northenden with Reeds Rains (Didsbury) this Summer. David did the initial viewing and valuation. He came prepared and with reassuring enthusiasm. The pricing strategy was realistic and with a great marketing package, generated the initial interest we were hoping for. We arranged days of multiple viewings (reducing the number of times I had to get the house ‘sale ready’) and sold the house quickly. After our first buyer pulled out, the team were so supportive and quickly began the process again. Within days we had more offers to choose from and sold above asking price. I’m so grateful to David, Anna and the team - thank you!
14th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)It's hard to review a estate agency when you interact with various staff roles, and unfortunately the bad ones ruin it for the good ones. Our experience as buyers was fantastic with Nia Yates who showed us the property we ultimately bought. Nia was very professional and patient, went above and beyond to answer questions and follow up with the sellers when we requested additional details. She was knowledgable, friendly, and managed to secure a second viewing before we placed an offer. If you're a seller, thoroughly recommend you to ask for Nia as your sales negotiator, she's done a great job.<br><br>Unfortunately the good experience ended once we were assigned Jackie Stirling as our sales progressor. The quality of the communication was appalling. Various questions about the status of the chain, the length of it, details from the survey that needed to be passed to sellers, they went either unanswered, were answered late (which made planning very difficult), or were miscommunicated. This resulted in an unnecessary back and forth of emails and calls (that is if you can get through on the phone, good luck!), waste of time, and additional stress to an already complex process. At the most critical time, prior to the agreed completion date, Jackie was unreachable for over a week. Imagine your solicitors, EAs and yourselves unable to contact your sellers even to the day prior to exchange and completion. With our house packed, we had to pull back, which is when suddenly contact with Jackie was restored, but only to put the blame on others. Classic. Intrigued by this attitude, we searched online and found various negative reviews about Jackie and decided to follow the advice of slipping a note through our sellers door in a last ditch to rescue the chain. Coincidentally, our sellers got in touch and expressed their own frustration with Jackie. Once she was out of the picture, things started to run smoothly, faster, and coordinated more efficiently with other links in the chain for a new completion date (all other EAs were on the ball so that helped too). So if you're a seller, best to ask for someone else assigned to your case or risk losing your buyer. I'm sorry for the other people at Edward Mellor but we have to give you honest feedback or things won't improve as various reviews are clearly showing a pattern.

14th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)As a buyer, the communication with this agent was fragmented, poor and a let down.<br><br>Had to constantly chase the office for updates and was an all round poor service.<br><br>Plenty of other agents in the area of cheadle I've had a positive experience with, so my opinion would be to strongly avoid this agent for both buyers and sellers alike.<br><br>Substandard all round.
10th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)Staff at Main and Main, in particular Kimberley Critchley, the Lettings Director, were outstanding in their level of knowledge, assistance and communication regarding the letting of my properties. Nothing was too much trouble and I was very happy to leave them to let my properties over a number of years. I would certainly be happy to recommend them to anyone.<br>They have also been extremely helpful in the recent sale of a property for me and, again, I would certainly recommend them.

They did a fantastic job of keeping both the seller and me informed, helping communication between both sides and fostering a really positive relationship throughout the transaction.<br><br>I would happily recommend them.
13th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Reduced it within a week of being on the market so just shows they got the valuation so wrong. Communication was very poor. Only had two viewings first I had to chase feedback. Never given feedback from the last viewing. When I gave notice I was emailed to say 3 viewings had taken place. They had not. We have changed estate agents as a result of poor service.

Rob came out to do the valuation and photographs- he was professional, efficient, informative and very considerate of my sleeping newborn.<br>Communication was great throughout, even when I would message in the group on the weekends! Could not recommend them enough and will definitely be using them again in the future, especially as the house sold in less than a month! Thanks again :)
12th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)House was a state upon moving in. We had mice rats and spiders galore as well as various code violations including a tilted oven and a gas stove blocking the fire door . When it came to moving out I was charged £50 for a mark that was supposedly on my bedroom wall, however the picture they used as evidence was as a different room. Save yourself some money and stress and don’t move in to a property managed by these money hungry, scammers. Also take note of how all the good reviews here are for viewings and not for how well they manage the properties.

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for better service and would highly recommend Rob to anyone looking to sell their property.

21st Oct 2026 (6 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Prime Residential.<br><br>From the day we moved in, we experienced maintenance issues, including a leak that was never properly resolved. To their credit, Prime Residential arranged for contractors to attend on several occasions, but despite these visits, the leak continued.<br><br>What was particularly disappointing was the complete lack of communication as the situation deteriorated. Over the course of several months, we repeatedly contacted the agent about the leak, providing opportunities for the issue to be addressed. Our emails were eventually ignored, despite the problem visibly getting worse.<br><br>I have attached photos showing the kitchen ceiling progressively deteriorating over this period, culminating in its eventual collapse. This was not a sudden, unforeseeable incident after a minor issue; it followed months of an unresolved leak and repeated attempts to get the agent to take the situation seriously. My pregnant wife and one-year-old daughter narrowly avoided injury when the ceiling collapsed. It was an extremely frightening experience that should never have reached that point.<br><br>The lack of communication and handling of these maintenance issues were subsequently referred to the Property Redress Scheme, which awarded us £500 in compensation.<br><br>The entire tenancy was plagued by maintenance problems. I acknowledge that a letting agent cannot necessarily control every property issue, but they are responsible for how they communicate with tenants, follow up on contractor visits and manage ongoing problems. In our experience, this was extremely disappointing.<br><br>Unfortunately, things did not improve when we moved out. I requested that the deposit return process be initiated, but my requests were not acted upon, leaving me to discover that I could initiate the process myself through TDS.<br><br>We then faced further frustration when the checkout report raised issues that were already present at the start of our tenancy. Some items alleged to have been left behind by us were clearly visible in the original check-in inventory, raising serious concerns about whether the report had been properly reviewed before these claims were made.<br><br>After approximately three months, the agent eventually proposed a £50 cleaning deduction, a stark contrast to the broader claims initially raised. This followed considerable delays and the effort we had to make ourselves to progress the return of our deposit. The matter has been referred to TDS.<br><br>Overall, the repeated communication failures, poor management and unnecessary stress throughout our tenancy and after moving out have been extremely disappointing. Tenants should not have to repeatedly chase an agent over serious maintenance concerns or take it upon themselves to get their own deposit return process moving.<br><br>Based on our experience, I would not recommend Prime Residential.
