Steve, Jules, and Amelia were hands on from the start and the communication and support we received throughout a complex period was fantastic. Unlike some estate agents in the area who make promises that they do not fulfil, FHP provide a first class, personal service from start to finish.

7th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)We had our house on the market with Burchell Edwards, Ilkeston, and things initially went quite well, securing a sale at asking price. This unfortunately fell through on the day we were supposed to exchange contracts and we had to start the process again.<br><br>We resold quite quickly but our new buyer dropped the price by £7000 after a survey. The branch told us that this was due to the risk of damp and we asked what they ment as we had damp proofing done recently, that came with 25-year guarantees. Then the branch told us they thought we didn’t have any damp proofing done, and specifically that they had told the buyer the opposite without clarifying with us first. Ultimately the buyer would not take that the branch had told them false information into account and we had to take a loss on the house, as we already had our dream property lined up.<br><br>Then there were various issues once we handed over to the progressions team. I won’t detail them all as it would take me a long time. Due to the service as a whole we made a complaint through the complaints team. The response was quite frankly inadequate. They found ‘no evidence’ that the branch had made the error by telling the buyer we had no damp proofing done, along with other issues raised to them. They essentially said, since the staff member didn’t write the error down it couldn’t have happened. I really felt like they were dismissive of our complaints. I would not recommend them to anyone and I would not use them again.<br><br>I would however recommend Green and May in Alfreton, they were who sold us our new home, I couldn’t be happier with the service we received from them. They were exceptional!

From the very beginning, when I first called to arrange a viewing, right through to the day we collected the keys, Ali was incredibly helpful, kind and supportive.<br><br>He consistently kept us updated at every stage and went above and beyond to make sure we were informed about what was happening. In fact, there were several occasions when Ali had more information and was able to give us clearer updates than our own solicitor!<br><br>Buying a property can be stressful, but having someone so approachable, responsive and genuinely helpful made a huge difference. Ali was always happy to help, answer questions and keep things moving, and we really appreciated his support throughout the whole process.<br><br>We would highly recommend Ali to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. He is a credit to Bairstow Eves and provided an excellent level of service from start to finish. They have always responded promptly, provided clear and helpful advice, and were ready to answer any questions I had.<br><br>They took the time to understand what I needed as a landlady and offered practical options and guidance at every stage. I felt very well supported throughout the process.<br>They made the whole letting process feel smooth and well organised.<br><br>Their advice gave me confidence in making decisions.<br>They were approachable and patient, even with small questions.<br>I felt they were focused on finding the right solution rather than simply rushing the process.<br><br>I would be happy to use them again in the future.<br><br>Maisie and Dominic worked closely with me, and I really appreciated their professionalism, responsiveness and support. From the first meeting with Dan, who was very professional and no hard sell, talking to the lovely ladies in the office who can't do enough to help and finally to Edward who came and took the photos and made the whole experience relaxed and easy. I would highly recommend Rex Gooding when selling your property.

She answered our questions quickly and took the stress out of finding a new place. I'd happily recommend her to anyone letting through Granger and Oaks.

11th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)Updating our review as we’ve used Watsons again for both the sale of our old house and the purchase of our new one, and honestly, these guys are amazing!<br><br>Sarah and Laura in the sales team flooded us with viewings and worked hard to get our house sold.<br><br>Lucy, our sales progressor, was also fantastic. She kept us updated throughout, gave us really helpful advice and somehow managed to keep us calm when our buyer’s solicitor was uncooperative.<br><br>Couldn’t recommend Watsons enough and would definitely use them again!<br><br>House purchase back in 2017:<br>Above and beyond expectations.<br>Everyone knows house buying is never a smooth process and we had our hiccups but Sheree was always on hand to settle our nerves or give a few nudges to the parties involved! It’s good to see a small business smashing the market place.

28th Jun 2026 (8 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience for viewing “3 Lupin Close, Edwalton, Nottingham, NG12 4HU” on Saturday June 27th 2026<br><br>I had a viewing appointment booked for 2:45 pm, so I left home on time. Due to unexpected traffic, I realised I might be 5–10 minutes late. At around 2:40 pm, I called the Holden Copley office to inform them that I would arrive between 2:50 pm and 2:55 pm. I was assured that this was absolutely fine, that the team would be informed, and I was advised to continue to the property.<br><br>I arrived at 2:55 pm, rang the doorbell, and waited outside for around five minutes, assuming someone might still be inside. When nobody answered, I called the office again, only to be told that the sales executive had already left after waiting just two minutes, until approximately 2:47 pm, because his diary was “very busy.”<br><br>What makes this even more frustrating is the complete double standard. Only last week, when viewing another one of their property (14 Autumn Close, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 7YL, on Monday 22nd June), their own sales executive arrived 15 minutes late. On that occasion, I patiently waited outside in the hot afternoon sun with my 5 and 8-year-old children, and I even had to cancel an important office meeting because of their delay. I accepted it without complaint because I understood that delays can happen.<br><br>However, yesterday when I informed them in advance that I would be delayed by no more than 10 minutes, they couldn’t extend the same basic courtesy. Instead, the appointment was effectively cancelled after waiting just two minutes, despite the office knowing exactly when I would arrive.<br><br>To make matters worse, when I requested that the sales executive return to the property, I was spoken to in a dismissive and rude manner. I was repeatedly told that his diary was “very busy” and that he would not be coming back. There was no apology, no attempt to resolve the situation, and no appreciation for the time I had spent travelling.<br><br>This is not how customers should be treated. If you expect clients to accommodate your delays, you should be willing to show the same flexibility when customers communicate honestly and courteously in advance. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete disregard for customer time have left me extremely disappointed. Based on this experience, I would seriously question whether Holden Copley genuinely values its customers.
