Difficult market and everyone sitting tight and so the effort from Victoria and her team to sell our house was even more appreciated. Selling my late mother’s house was naturally an emotional process, but the whole team were compassionate, professional and supportive throughout.<br><br>A special mention goes to Alex, who went above and beyond at every stage. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his communication, kindness and dedication made a difficult time much easier to navigate.<br><br>The sale was handled efficiently and with genuine care, and I always felt I was in safe hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Hillier & Wilson again and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for an estate agent in Newbury and surrounding areas.
24th Jul 2026 (30 days ago)I arranged a valuation to be done and two agents came out, one seemed very pleasant and nice however the other who wasn’t planned to do the viewing was rude obnoxious and showed very little interest in the property and made me feel as if I had wasted their time. This was a shame as the original estate agent had seemed genuinely nice and professional however did very little talking and was overpowered by the other estate agent. Overall compared to the experience from other estate agents on the same level I was extremely disappointed and upset by the whole experience.

Do not recommend these people.- 17th Dec 2021 (4 years ago)We recently purchased a property through Savills that should have been a smooth process based on a small chain however for various reasons outside our or the buyers control it was far from it. Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!
8th May 2026 (15 weeks ago)All the above 'excellents' look ridiculous I know, but they accurately and honestly reflect the service that I have received from Richard James which has been nothing short of astonishing. From the very initial photographs for the advertisement to keeping me informed of viewings and confirming the results of viewings, they could not have been more attentive and considerate. In particular I must name and thank Mr James Sargeant of their Wroughton office for his dogged and persistent qualities. I live in Devon and was afraid that I might not be kept quite so well informed as a result, but I need not have worried. I continue to be delighted with Richard James performance and would urge anyone selling a property to ring them up tomorrow - or even this afternoon!

Their local knowledge is second to none and they always give a speedy response to enquiries. I like that they are an established family business who are friendly and professional at all times. They take the rough with the smooth, always trying to bring a positive outcome to any problem. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)I think it depends what partnership you have, I one I had the sales pitch was great but the communication throughout once I signed up with them was terrible, at one point t after I chased and chased for feedback after 1 week after a viewing they told me I had an offer, yes it was very low, but I was never told.

2nd Aug 2026 (21 days ago)A brilliant experience with Waymark Wantage. Our conveyancer was dreadful and made the whole buying journey very stressful. I'm convinced if it wasn't for Waymark - and in particular Yas Sutcliffe - our home purchase would not have been possible.
4th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)I cannot recommend Parkers enough. They made the house buying process so easy. They provide weekly check-ins where they check you've completed everything and chase the solicitors where needed. From offer to completion was 6-8 weeks which was incredible. Chanelle was so thorough and conscientious. Very happy with their service.
