14th Aug 2026 (10 days ago)We have recently sold our mother’s house. Of the three agents shortlisted, we chose Ballards due to high street presence and their enthusiasm and approach. This included Ryan who is dedicated to progressing the sale through to completion.<br><br>We agreed the particulars quickly, had viewings booked within a day and an immediate offer of the asking price. We used Conway solicitors (introduced by Ballards). The entire process was faultless and very fast as the buyers were keen to move quickly.<br><br>We completed on the sale less than 6 weeks after the house going on the market. Thank you to Ryan, Harry and the team at Ballards for ensuring a successful outcome for both parties.
9th Mar 2026 (24 weeks ago)Would give 0 stars. Easily the worst letting agents in Reading. They’ll never fix the problems and the basic requirements from you. Whatever you report goes into deaf ears. We’ve been reporting about faulty blinds , leaking bathroom and lots of sharp nails from beneath the carpets for more than 6 months with no one turning up even once. Stay away even if the property looks cool.

He is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer all our questions. His customer service has been excellent throughout, and we’re really pleased with how everything has been handled. Would happily recommend. Thanks Ken!
8th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)Very disappointing experience and serious concerns about transparency.<br>We applied to rent 1 Compton Manor while arranging an international move. We were accepted as tenants, paid a holding deposit, received a draft tenancy agreement and underwent referencing and credit checks.<br>We were then informed that the owner had agreed to sell the property and our tenancy would not proceed. We subsequently discovered that the property had been marketed for sale by Warmingham only 1 month before it was advertised to let.<br>We made a formal complaint because neither of us had understood that the property we were applying to rent was actively for sale. Warmingham later stated that their agent recalled verbally telling us this during the viewing. This is completely inconsistent with our recollection: we clearly remember being told that the neighbours property within the six-home development was vacant and for sale, not 1 Compton Manor.<br>After we disputed Warmingham's account in writing, we received no further response or final outcome to our formal complaint.<br>Had we known the property was actively for sale, it would have materially affected our decision to proceed with the deposit, referencing and credit checks.<br>Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Warmingham. We believe the property's dual sale/rental status should have been made absolutely clear before we were asked to commit to the rental process.<br>Prospective tenants are looking for stable homes and often have little room for uncertainty once they begin committing money, time and personal information to a property. In our view, allowing tenants to progress this far without making the risk of an ongoing sale unmistakably clear takes unfair advantage of that imbalance and falls well short of the transparency we would expect from a professional estate agent.- 5th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)If you are thinking of renting in West Berkshire, then please choose Davis Tate and especially Sylwia. We had really excellent support from Sylwia, so kind and so professional. Throughout a tricky process, Sylwia handled everything for us and got the right outcome for us. We really felt that we mattered to her, as well as the whole Davis Tate team. I recommend Sylwia and the whole team wholeheartedly.

Difficult market and everyone sitting tight and so the effort from Victoria and her team to sell our house was even more appreciated. From the first meeting with Victoria to the day we handed the keys over we couldn’t have asked for more.<br>Super professional and kept us informed with every step of the way.<br>Wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again and throughly recommend the team to anyone wishing to sell their property in Newbury and the surrounding area. The team was consistently responsive, helpful and reassuring, keeping me informed throughout and making the entire process feel straightforward and stress-free.<br><br>What impressed me most was that the service never felt merely transactional. There was a genuine sense of care, attention and willingness to help, combined with the efficiency and professionalism you would expect from a first-class agency. Every interaction was handled promptly and courteously, and I always felt that I was in very capable hands.<br><br>It is increasingly rare to come across this combination of excellent communication, genuine support and consistently high professional standards. 7th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)We've rented from Walmsley for 3 years and have had fantastic communication and really quick responses from them.<br><br>The lettings team led by Beth has been exceptional, and also Leona is really good at keeping us updated on inspections etc.<br><br>Nothing but praise for them and highly recommend if you are thinking of rental or a landlord looking for management.

7th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)I contacted Matt Davies to view a property in mid May. After making an offer that was accepted, Matt was instrumental in liaising with the property owner for access to the property before completion in order to complete renovation works. He communicated well, responded to requests in a timely manner and nothing was too much trouble. And he answered his phone when I rang. We moved in on July 29th and couldn't have done it without his help.<br><br>I would have no hesitation in recommending Matt and Knight Frank in Henley if you're buying or selling property in this area.

They supported me during a very difficult and stressful period when my previous landlord served me with a Section 21 notice and I urgently needed to find suitable accommodation for my family. From the very beginning, the team was professional, understanding, and respectful. The agent took the time to listen to my circumstances, treated me with kindness and dignity, and worked hard to help me find the right property. Their communication was excellent throughout the process, and they were always available to answer questions and provide reassurance when needed. Moving home can be an overwhelming experience, but the support and guidance I received made the process much smoother and less stressful. I am very grateful for their help and for the genuine care they showed during a challenging time. Thank you for your professionalism, patience, and outstanding customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend your agency to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive letting agent.
18th Aug 2026 (6 days ago)I think it depends what partnership you have, I one I had the sales pitch was great but the communication throughout once I signed up with them was terrible, at one point t after I chased and chased for feedback after 1 week after a viewing they told me I had an offer, yes it was very low, but I was never told.

3rd Aug 2026 (21 days ago)We knew we wanted to have Michael as our estate agent from previous meeting we had had with him setting out when was the right time for us to sell. He is honest, supportive, caring, passionate some might say ?????? and just makes the whole process lighter. He is in the trenches with me, working for your best interest, always a step ahead and anticipating every move. So before you are even aware of a problem or delay, it is either dealt with or there is a plan set in place. Even his recommended of a solicitor and surveyor where nothing like you would have worked with before. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.<br><br>Michael also sold us our forever home.<br>Thank you for all your help.
