4th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)This review is nothing to do with a house sale but purely a thank you and an acknowledgement for the kindness and care shown to myself when my husband became unexpectedly ill near to their office today and the paramedics had to be called. The staff here were so kind to me helping me find a safe place to park our car, offering me support and even taking our 2 dogs into their office to care for them while I stayed with my husband. I do not know anyones individual names but we are both extremely grateful for your help in what was a very stressful situation for us.

The whole process of applying for a tenancy, viewings and dealing with the organisation of a lease can be very stressful but Helen was extremely helpful and made the process as easy as it could be. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the services of Fisher German.

Thanks to Jo, we felt supported every step of the way. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
17th Feb 2026 (29 days ago)Absolutely shocking. We put forward an offer on a property. We received a call to say that if we increased it, it would be accepted and that the seller was happy for it to be ours. We put forward the new offer and when we asked the estate agent whether this would be accepted, they said yes and told us to send over the relevant documents. Not even one hour later, we received a call to basically tell us that we had been gazumped. Apparently another offeree had put forward an offer which was ‘a lot higher’ than ours and the seller had accepted this. When we asked how much more this new figure was, the estate agent actually laughed down the phone and said ‘I can’t tell you that.’ I understand that you couldn’t tell us the figure, but you didn’t need to laugh and be rude, especially after you had wasted our entire day and got our hopes up. A bit of advice for you: if you’re aware that the seller is going to consider other offers and potentially accept a higher one, don’t tell the ‘original’ buyer in the first place that their offer has been accepted and that the seller is willing to let them have the property. Just be honest and have a bit of compassion.

From day one, we knew we’d made the right decision and that feeling never changed throughout the entire process. Jennifer was absolutely amazing. Not only did she successfully sell our property, but she also supported us every step of the way in finding and purchasing our new home. The whole journey can be stressful and emotional, but she was always there professional, proactive, and incredibly supportive. What sets Jennifer apart is the genuine care she shows. There aren’t many estate agents who will be at the end of the phone when you’re having a wobble and feel like everything is going wrong but Jennifer always was. 18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

From the very first meeting, they were different to other estate agents we’d encountered; extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and completely reassuring. Selling a house can be stressful, but they handled everything with confidence and clarity, keeping us informed at every stage. The marketing was excellent, the communication was consistent, and they worked incredibly hard to secure a great sale for us. At the same time they found us our perfect family home and supported us through the purchase, making the whole process feel seamless. They were always available to answer questions, chase updates, and smooth out any bumps along the way. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. What really stood out was their honesty, dedication, and genuine care. We felt supported by the entire team from start to finish on both the sale and the purchase. 11th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)We are about to complete the purchase of a property through Thornley Groves estate agents in Hale. Buying or selling a house can be a stressful process, but the team at Thornley Groves were consistently professional, supportive, and impressive throughout. Chris, the branch manager, initially helped us with putting in our offer and was fair, transparent, and professional from the outset, which immediately gave us confidence in the process. Claire regularly checked in with both us and the vendor to ensure everyone was aligned and that all paperwork was progressing promptly. This made us feel well supported and helped keep things moving quickly without unnecessary delays. As we were part of a chain, there were some challenges in getting the top and bottom of the chain to agree on a completion date. Jamie, who originally showed us the property, was exceptional in handling this. She took the initiative to draft a detailed email, bringing all parties together, and used her professionalism and experience to resolve the situation and secure an agreed completion date. Her efforts were instrumental in ensuring a smooth conclusion to the transaction. Overall, I cannot recommend the team at Thornley Groves highly enough.

Kirsty and her team; Dani, Jordan, and Amelia, were impeccible throughout our experience with them. Our home was first listed with another agent for several months, received over 20 viewings but zero offers. The first agent only had one stream of advice: reduce, reduce, reduce. We switched to Clifford Saunt who came in with practical advice on how to improve our home (without spending a fortune), incredible professionalism and communicatiion, and a genuine desire to help our family. Our property received multiple offers within mere days of being listed with Clifford Saunt, and sold for 10k more than our previous agent said we would. Our sale was also finalised well within the ideal timeline we gave them. We will 100% use Clifford Saunt for any future home moves.
