19th Jun 2026 (16 days ago)For starters, if there were an option for 0 stars, Harry Harper Lettings would have earned it with flying colours.<br>Nothing quite says "welcome to your new home" like finding raw fish left in the freezer, eight full bin bags decorating the garden, and a mould-ridden bedroom that had clearly never seen treatment. It's a truly unique move-in experience.<br>Communication was equally impressive. If you've ever wanted to spend your time speaking to robots, being ignored altogether, or being passed between people who don't know the answer and have no intention of finding it, you're in luck. Customer service appears to be treated as more of a theoretical concept than an actual service.<br>The grand finale? Being charged £400 from our deposit when leaving, despite the condition the property was handed over in.<br>A letting agent's job is supposed to be managing properties and supporting tenants. Harry Harper Lettings seem to have interpreted this somewhat differently.<br>An amateur operation at best. The rental market deserves better, and tenants deserve their rights.

26th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)I had an extremely disappointing experience with this estate agent. Throughout the process, I felt I was treated with a complete lack of professionalism and respect. On several occasions, staff laughed at me while I was trying to discuss genuine concerns about the property, which left me feeling humiliated and upset. The situation became so difficult that my electrician refused to continue dealing with them because of how rude and dismissive they were. The property on Thames Road also failed its electrical inspections, and I was very concerned about what I considered to be serious safety issues. Despite raising these concerns, they were unwilling to negotiate or engage in any meaningful discussion. Instead of listening to my concerns, I felt dismissed at every opportunity. The entire experience left me in tears, and I would not recommend this estate agent based on how I was treated. I believe customers deserve to be spoken to with respect, especially when raising legitimate concerns about the condition and safety of a property.

13th Apr 2026 (12 weeks ago)Not a very good team of estate agents at all (though their incompetence meant I ended up getting my dream house with a different agency instead). They call you immediately after viewing a house to put in an offer, then play games with you (or encourage the seller to do so) and make you add on crazy amounts of money to the offer whilst playing you off against another buyer. They pretended to not answer our calls once we called to put in counter offers, and then blamed us for “not calling” (literally called multiple times on one day) and kept pushing us to add more money! It was an awful experience with them, causing us undue amount of stress, and I am glad I no longer bothered looking at their properties. In my dream house now so I guess it was good that they were so bad! 0/10 stars.

18th Jun 2026 (17 days ago)Great experience with Northwood. Lauren showed me my new rental and fell in love with it straight away, and said i take before we left the viewing. Lauren has been friendly and understanding as its been over 11 years to find a new place to live on getting confused on what forms to complete or missed emails at my end. Explaintion of all the paperwork was clear, and regular check up from all at Northwood.<br><br>Further to this, I have been renting now for 4 months. The electric meter can not be located, so I have been topping up onto an account though not registered payments. The electric meter on the energy network is registered for a postcode that is 2 streets away.
2nd Jul 2026 (3 days ago)We recently sold our house through Bridgfords in Penketh and, whilst it wasn't the smoothest journey due to circumstances outside of their control, the team remained supportive, professional and proactive throughout.<br><br>A special mention must go to Lilia, whose hard work, persistence and excellent communication helped keep everything moving forward when challenges arose. We are very grateful for all their efforts and would happily recommend Bridgfords to anyone looking to sell a property.

Given the fact that I no longer live in the area, I was very grateful for the support I received. The communication throughout the process was excellent, and the guidance on local companies to use in this process was so essential. I would thoroughly recommend Adams to anyone looking to buy or sell a house in the area. Many thanks to the team!

Michael was helpful and informative throughout the process, from taking time out to accommodate a second viewing of the property to assisting with general property queries such as meter readings and stopcock locations as well being available late on a Friday afternoon for us to be able to collect the keys. Would recommend Leaders, Warrington.

1st Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)??????Formerly Greenwood James and now under the Harrisons banner, the name may not be the same but the service certainly is.., and this is the reason we have been putting the new acquisitions for the portfolio with them for a few years now...?????????????????? Absolutely no regrets as the team are proactive, fair, and friendly too?? We are at ease when it comes to the portfolio they manage being managed properly... So a BiG Thank-You to Zoe Jackson (There are Two Zoe's) as she is our direct line and property manager, however the full team really are friendly and knowledgeable, so great to deal with..??????
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
