Prior to the sale the house had been let by the letting line who were also always very professional. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone wanting to sell or rent their property.

19th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)My husband and I bought a house through Charles David Casson a couple years back and they were the worst part of the process. Their communication was poor from start to finish. They recommended the worst solicitors, DO NOT go for the solicitor they recommend. They failed to adequately arrange viewings and made the process HELL. At several points I had to request their manager to intervene, who was equally useless. If you enjoy stress and headache, you can go for them. If the seller had not been so lovely and accommodating, we would not have got this sale over the line. We literally did all the work whilst they twiddled their thumbs and wasted our time. After the sale went through, they’ve been harassing me periodically to give a valuation of the house- in case I want to sell. Haunting me even to this day.

16th Mar 2026 (2 days ago)Highly unprofessional company, we have been dealing with Veronica recently and made a formal offer on a property, it has since been 2 weeks without any response which as anyone would agree is highly unprofessional (first offer was responed to within 24 hours), whether the offer is acceptable or rejected you should provide a response to any an all clients you are dealing with. I Will also give a review on our local fairford leys fb group as it's only fair to residents of our community who buy an sell their homes to be aware that the middle man may not be doing there job effectively between parties in the sense if i was listing our fairford leys home i would want to know the estate agent is responding to any and all potential clients showing interest in the hope a deal may eventually present it self likewise if i was a buyer i would want confidence in knowing my offer was sent to the party and accepted or declined as i may then look to increase the offer but when you are dealing with this level of service it is hard to increase your offer thus the seller listing with them losing in the long term due to the estate agent you chose.

3rd Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)The team at Mathers are friendly, professional and fully on top of the new renters rights act and its implications. Hayley did my onboarding and patiently took the time to explain the new laws and the landlord onboarding process in depth. Communication is top notch. The team managed to find me a high quality tenant during the Christmas period which is traditionally a difficult time to look for tenants. A very organized, professional and friendly team to work with.
23rd Feb 2026 (23 days ago)Absolutely horrible experience. Flat flooded with water, bedrooms and beds absolutely soaked in disgusting dirty water, estate agents told us to book hotels and we’d get compensation, never did though. Never gave us a single penny back. Also told us we had to pay full rent even though the flat was uninhabitable. Bodrul was the worst of it, kept promising that he’d get in touch with us about getting us some money back, then never did. AVOID AVOID AVOID, disgusting estate agents with no morals. See the photos attached for the condition they left us in. I had to get in touch with plumbers and workers myself to get it fixed, they did absolutely nothing to help fix the leak upstairs as they claimed it had been fixed, when it was just getting worse every day. One of the estate agents even came over to view the damage, stood in a pool of the dirty water and muttered “get me out of this dump” thinking I didn’t hear him. Absolutely vile. Edit in response to the comment below: Firstly, I find it laughable that you say you acted promptly and actually blatant lie that you attended the same day. I'm actually glad you've admitted about the report being on the 24th of April, as the video and some of the photos taken below (with the water STILL dripping down) were taken on the 29th of April. I wonder how that's possible since you acted so promptly! Don't insult me by saying that my statement is incorrect, the plumbers I contacted were Camden Council's own plumbers. I have the voice note and recordings to prove this, and again, further proof that was me who sorted out the repairs to the upstairs flat. It's absolutely disgusting that you're trying to call me a liar in this situation, as I have actual proof that the statement is true. In fact, you are lying here saying it was Camden Council who told us to book into hotels, it was one of your staff who told us when he came to the flat who told us to submit receipts about a hotel expense! How can you so confidently lie about the turn of events? You've lied about the day it was fixed (I have dated evidence to show it wasn't fixed promptly on the 24th), you lie about who I contacted to actually fix the issue since you wouldn't do it (I have voice notes speaking with Camden Council plumbers to prove this), and you now lie about telling us to book into hotels. You did not relay any information to me, nor did you ever actually admit what the outcome of the insurance claim was. We're yet to ever find out about that, and it's funny that you don't mention that in your response!

5th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)We have recently bought and sold with Bradford & Howley Harpenden. I’ll admit I was initially skeptical about using Bradford & Howley again after a poor experience with staff at their St. Albans branch roughly five years ago when offering on a property. However, the Harpenden team has completely shifted my perspective with their handling of both our sale and purchase. The front-end of the process was remarkably efficient. We had more than 30 viewings in just two weeks, and the team was incredibly accommodating, working around our busy schedule to fit in initial and second viewings without any friction. Sarah Hollik, Senior Sales Associate was standout—her communication was proactive, consistent, and she kept us informed every step of the way. Aside from her professional capability she's also an extremely considerate person and keeps the customer at the centre of every decision she makes. Liam Howley jumped in to assist at the precise moment he was required. When the sale demanded a higher level of attention, Liam stepped up personally to manage escalations, which gave us a lot of confidence during the more stressful parts of the move. In a high-pressure market, they managed our expectations clearly and maintained a professional standard throughout. The only constructive feedback I would like to share was around the Sales Progression. We felt there was a lack of proactivity in this department, and it often felt like things only moved when we stepped in to chase them for critical time-bound movement. That being said, the overall service from the Harpenden office was professional and proactive. They successfully navigated a complex move for us, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as a solid independent local agency.

From our very first viewing through to sale to STC, Jorgia was professional, proactive, and incredibly supportive. Buying a house can be stressful, but she made the whole process feel smooth and manageable. She kept us fully informed at every stage, responded quickly to any questions we had, and went above and beyond to keep everything progressing. What really stood out was her attention to detail and genuine care. We never felt like “just another sale” — she took the time to understand our situation and ensured everything was handled efficiently and with transparency. Thanks to Jorgia’s hard work and dedication, we’re now settled into a home we absolutely love. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone buying or selling, she’s an absolute credit to her professionalism.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I recently sold my house in Hemel and I can't recommend Orchid enough - and one person in particular: Jacob. He was on board throughout the whole process - from valuation and viewings, liaising with other agents, right through to the final sale. It makes a huge difference dealing with one person, and he was always on hand to answer my (sometimes quite daft!) questions and to offer advice. He was realistic, professional and always sensitive to my needs and requirements. He 's also an extremely nice guy - which always helps! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the quick sale of my house meant I was able to purchase my new home much more easily. I have already recommended Jacob and Orchid to friends and family in the area and I have no hesitation in spreading the word further afield. So thank you Orchid.. And thank you Jacob!

We viewed a property we instantly fell in love with on Thursday and made the decision that same day to put our house on the market. By Saturday, professional photos had been taken; our property was listed on Monday; and by the following Thursday, it was sold. The entire process was incredibly efficient and well managed. Not only did we secure the home we had our hearts set on, but we also achieved the full asking price for our property. A huge thank you to the whole team at Elliot Heath for their professionalism, communication, and support throughout both our purchase and sale. We truly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!
