15th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)DO NOT use these agents. We got agreed a house we loved and it got put as sold etc. Next day we got gazumped by another person who put in a much higher offer even after it was sold stc. Most agents do not entertain offers after sold etc and whilst I understand agents can legally pass on offers even after agreeing a sale and that gazumping is legal in UK, they obviously passed on the offer as they want the extra commission and we lost out the property. We are not going to get into any bidding war and raise our offer up higher than we did as a matter of principle as nice as the home was- properties come and go and we will find a better one. But please avoid them as when I have called multiple other agents in the past- once a sale is agreed, they just say that and dont emtertain offers as a courtesy but Robinson Jackson did. Deeply disappointed with the agents, with the person who put in the offer as they have no shame, and with the sellers who even accepted this after agreeing with us. Disappointing and will not trust them again.
16th Apr 2026 (23 days ago)This was a poor experience for us. The young man, Diandre, at first couldn't have been nicer and he really didn't do anything wrong but the overall handling of our viewing experiences was just unnecessary and a waste of our time, and theirs in the end. Lettings Agents like these only want young full time workers to deal with. People who have a job to lose, are somehow are a safer bet than an older stable couple with checkable histories. Suffice to say they did enough to ensure we didn't call it outright discrimination but the end answer was "no" even if we could easily have afforded the two properties we were interested in. And we showed several times that we could. Be warned, if you have ANY type of benefit within your income (including salaryand atate pension, these people will not treat you fairly and you will not even be allowed to progress to referencing, their answer to you will always be "no". They'd rather lose tens of thousands of pounds per tenant than rent to older, sensible people who.can clearly afford the rent. It is truly shocking how we have been treated. Do not rent with them, if you value transparency, stability and respect you will be disappointed and they will waste your time and tell you "No. Just no", was the last word. Not that we had failed any checks or had bad refs. So disappointing for us and our children. They feel like we have done something wrong.- 2nd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)Terri Tristram, she's a class act. 7th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)Imagine being so unprofessional that you schedule a viewing, talk so highly about your agency and then be extremely lame enough to not show up for the viewing. I had the absolute displeasure to deal with James Setright who scheduled a viewing and then forgot to show up at 308, Garratt Lane address at the time of the viewing. My partner travelled an hour to reach the address and then viola, nobody shows up, I call up and James picks up and tells me that there’s nothing he could do and the best he could do is to schedule it for another day. Whilst being civil and acting like he cared, there was absolutely no other alternative offered. I just feel sorry for the seller here, since they should pick up someone more professional and reasonable to deal with. To anyone at John D Wood who’s the owner, it’s not only hard to schedule viewings and reach your staff but they are just incredibly bad to deal with and make basic errors that are just blasphemous for. The nature of the business.
24th Apr 2026 (15 days ago)I found a property to purchase being marketed by Chattertons Estate Agents. My initial viewing was hosted by Jen who was extremely welcoming, informative and helpful. After that, subsequent viewings were conducted by the fantastic branch manager, Doug Paterson. This sale/purchase was complicated by the fact that the elderly owner had gone into care and the sale being managed by her disabled son who was a long distance away. Doug had to act as liaison and there was absolutely nothing that was too much trouble for him, from recommending an excellent firm of solicitors who, with Doug’s input, were able to expedite the process to completion in 5 week, fantastic! There is no way I could praise the team at Chattertons, particularly Doug, any higher and have no hesitation in giving them the highest recommendation.

4th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)I recently had to sell my parents home in West Wickham following probate. It was quite an emotional and upsetting experience and difficult at times as I do not live locally. However, James and Hannah were extremely helpful and sensitive and often went above and beyond checking that things at the house were ok. The sale went through very smoothly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alan de Maid.

10th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)Very deceptive, do not try to buy a property with them if you value your time, they are very shady and will try to squeeze extra money from you at every chance, making up fake competing offers and telling you stories that doesn’t make any sense

Sophie from the Locksbottom branch was outstanding - always quick to respond, incredibly dedicated, and kept us informed at every stage. Her communication made a real difference and took a lot of the stress out of the process. A shout out to Oliver as well, who demonstrated great knowledge throughout the process from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

I felt there was too much pressure being put on us to drop our asking price after only a few weeks in.

Nigel made the process easy, because he has a warm, friendly, funny and helpful character. After the viewing, I registered my keen interest in the property. We maintained contact while i was waiting to sell. I can honestly say that i would never have got the house without his help. Overall, he is an excellent estate agent that I can recommend with absolute confidence. Would also like to give a big shout out to Lewis, Dane, Rosie, Tamsin for professionalism and hard work getting us over the line. So greatful. Many Thanks. Buy with Cubitt and West with confidence. Don't fancy moving again for a while. Haha. Best wishes Dan.

They could recommend a good broker and solicitor to us and were always approachable and happy to answer our many questions. They also had great knowledge of the area and were very flexible to show us different properties in the area we were interested in. All in all, every member of the team was helpful and simply lovely to talk to. All of this made the house buy so pleasant. Thank you, Loft team!
