21st Aug 2026 (10 weeks ago)Terrible agent<br><br>I went to view a house last week. I had no contact from the estate agent to ask me for feedback, so I resorted to submitting an offer by email. I got a receipt saying they had accepted my offer, and that was it nothing more.<br><br>I didn't hear anything for over a week, so I sent a courtesy email to them asking for an update, to which I received an out-of-office notice from the 'senior negotiator' with no sign that my message had been passed on. So I sent my follow-up email to the office instead.<br><br>6 hours later a got a phone call saying they had taken another offer from someone else.<br><br>At no point was I informed of any offers, or the seller's situation and how they will be dealing with offers, which in this process is valuable information.<br><br>In reality, I could improve my offer, had a solicitor ready to act, and a mortgage in place and a deposit, which make me a low-risk buyer.<br><br>I find this lack of communication poor when dealing with people's emotions and money. I understand I lost out to a cash buyer, which is understandable as that is a good position to be in. My frustrations aren't with the seller but the estate agent as this does not account for their poor/lack of communication through the process

20th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Having rented a property managed by Nicholls Tyreman, I can confidently say that our experience with this company has been absolutely appalling.<br>Throughout our tenancy, we experienced repeated maintenance problems, including issues with shutters and blinds, hot water, a fly infestation and the upkeep of the grounds. Getting matters addressed was often a frustrating process involving repeated chasing.<br>Despite these issues, when it came to renewing our tenancy, we were faced with demands for a substantial rent increase and ultimately a Section 21 notice when we could not agree terms.<br>However, the worst part of our experience came when we vacated the property.<br>Having paid a significant deposit, Nicholls Tyreman sought to deduct an astonishing sum for redecoration, woodwork and for flooring.<br>It is remarkable how maintenance issues can be so difficult to resolve during a tenancy, yet when a tenant leaves, thousands of pounds of alleged remedial work suddenly becomes necessary.<br>The entire experience has left us with the impression that the interests of tenants come a very distant second.<br>I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through Nicholls Tyreman to document absolutely everything, retain every email, photograph the property's condition and be extremely cautious when it comes to their deposit.<br>We have rented properties before and have never experienced anything quite like this.<br>In my opinion, the professionalism, fairness and standard of customer service have been completely unacceptable.<br>I would never use Nicholls Tyreman again and would strongly advise prospective tenants to consider other agents.<br>One star is one too many.

HASSAN — MOVE UP ESTATE AGENTS<br><br>"Absolutely brilliant — professional, kind, and truly helpful"<br><br>I want to say a huge thank you to Hassan from Move Up for everything he did in letting out my property. From start to finish, he was professional, honest, and so helpful — he kept me updated at every step, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.<br><br>Hassan is reliable, polite, and genuinely cares about doing things properly. He found good tenants quickly and handled everything with care and respect. It was such a relief to have someone I could trust to look after my home the way he did.<br><br>I would highly recommend Hassan and Move Up to anyone buying, selling, or renting out their property — you won’t find better service. I have also been informed they have difficulty retaining staff!!!!! Previously had first class service.
17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Don’t usually leave reviews but I rang about multiple agencies before this one I spoke to a lad named Hassan I believe and he was very well mannered and easy to speak to and also rang before and spoke to another bloke called jamyat who was also very welcoming.don’t hesitate to give them a try very friendly and helpful!

I called to arrange a viewing for a property I was genuinely interested in and was told that veiwing is not yet started but I’d be added to the waiting list. I provided all the requested information, including details about my income and family circumstances, but heard nothing for two weeks. When I followed up, they claimed to have no record of my enquiry and said the list was already full. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or acknowledge the mistake. Poor communication and poor customer service.
20th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Professional<br>I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.<br>Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.<br>Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.

Lucy carried out the property inspection…excellent! Hollie did all the viewings and kept us informed regularly of any interest in renting! Some references took a while to come through, but hey that’s the way it goes, not the fault of Hollie or Linley & Simpson!

They were proactive and attentive to all of our needs, and helped get everything organised. They were also very helpful when it came to liaising between solicitors.<br><br>When our case became slightly more complex halfway through (in the wider chain), Jess was great at helping us to understand the issues and pushing the solicitors to ensure that our sale didn’t fall through.<br><br>It was a long process, particularly when things are out of your control, but the team made it much more manageable and enjoyable!
