28th Sep 2026 (29 days ago)Being a first-time buyer can be overwhelming, and I certainly wasn't the easiest customer- I had a endless list of questions! However Gabriela was amazing from start to finish. She completely put me at ease and went above and beyond to answer every single one of my niggling questions with a genuinely happy and helpful attitude.<br><br>The team's dedication didn't stop at completion either. When the movers accidentally left a few items behind, Gabriela actually came down and helped me sort it out when she easily could have left me to handle it myself. To top it all off, after completion, I received a thoughtful card and a goody bag full of lovely treats from Gabriela which was such a sweet personal touch.<br><br>If you are looking for a dedicated, professional, and truly goes-above-and-beyond estate agent team, I couldn't recommend them more!

22nd Aug 2023 (3 years ago)If I could give 0 star, I would. Absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, cheap & discriminative service that this agency provides. Home owners pay them to have a part of full service. The tenants will have to deal with their own reference checks etc. as the agency is washing their hands when it comes to doing anything that they are getting paid for. After being passed onto a referencing agency who couldn't do their job properly, (which I now believe happened in collaboration with the agent of DPR as they didn't want to give us the flat ) we've been asked to get in touch with a 3rd party agency to sort out the problem. Why would you use two 3rd parties to do your reference checks? Later on the agent made is seem like it was all our fault (that their agency couldn't reference us properly) and they ahed contacted the landlord and suggested him not to go ahead with us. In all honesty, you guys better make a call to Trading Standards as well - I reported them already.The more of us the better.
7th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)? 1 star — and honestly, I wish I could give zero.<br><br>If you are thinking about using Foxtons to manage or sell your property, please think very carefully before you do. My experience has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward process turned into months of chasing, calling, emailing, escalating and repeatedly asking Foxtons to do things I was already paying them to do.<br><br>The biggest problem? I was paying Foxtons to manage my property, but I ended up having to manage Foxtons.<br><br>Communication was appalling. I was repeatedly told things would be dealt with, only to find myself chasing again because nothing had happened. I was passed between different members of staff, had to repeatedly explain the same issues and constantly push for basic answers. Nobody seemed prepared to take ownership and actually see a problem through to the end.<br><br>Then came the mess after the tenants vacated.<br><br>Half the keys were returned late and the other half had apparently been lost and were only found months later. There was substantial damage left at the property, yet I was left waiting month after month for quotations and updates. I chased and chased, only to eventually find that the matter had been dealt with through the deposit scheme and the result was £15.<br><br>£15.<br><br>After all the damage, delays and time spent chasing Foxtons, that was the outcome.<br><br>To make matters worse, Foxtons failed to properly communicate what was happening with the deposit process and I was subsequently cut off from the deposit scheme, leaving me with no meaningful way to pursue the matter. Six months later, I am still waiting for a promised phone call from Foxtons.<br><br>Then there was the completely unnecessary situation involving our new estate agent collecting the keys. I live overseas and my mum was struggling to get to the Foxtons office, so our new estate agent was doing us a favour by collecting the keys on our behalf. Instead of simply handing over the keys, a member of the Foxtons office staff became confrontational with our new agent and told him to come outside to fight.<br><br>This was completely unacceptable and completely unnecessary. Someone was trying to help us because I live overseas, and Foxtons managed to turn even the simple collection of keys into another confrontation.<br><br>By this point it was impossible to see these as isolated mistakes. Weeks would pass, I would chase, I would be given an assurance, nothing would happen and I would have to chase again.<br><br>I was living overseas throughout this. I wasn't asking Foxtons to do me a favour. I was paying them to manage my property. I should not have needed to spend hours making calls and sending emails from the other side of the world just to get basic things done.<br><br>Eventually I escalated the matter to senior management because the normal channels clearly weren't working. You would expect that to finally result in someone taking responsibility.<br><br>It didn't.<br><br>I received one email and then nothing. No meaningful follow-up, no resolution and no phone call.<br><br>For a company charging professional estate-agent fees, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect communication, accountability and basic follow-through.<br><br>I would never use Foxtons again and I would strongly advise anyone considering using them to look elsewhere. Don't just judge an estate agent by how they appear when everything is going smoothly. Judge them by how they deal with problems.<br><br>In my experience, Foxtons didn't take ownership. They became another problem I had to manage.<br><br>An estate agent should make selling and managing your property easier. Foxtons made it harder, more stressful and far more time-consuming than it ever needed to be.<br><br>And the most ridiculous part? The matter is STILL not resolved. I am still waiting for an email back from Sam.

9th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)Terrible communication and zero response for 2 months I have been asking the lettings team for two months regarding a broken door closer at my property, and I have been completely ignored. Agents have a legal responsibility to maintain property fixtures, but this agency completely ghosts tenants once they've moved in. If you are looking for a reliable managing agent that actually responds to repair requests, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Extremely disappointing customer service.

A special thanks to Geniene Tuit for always being responsive, answering all our questions and managing everything so professionally and efficiently. Thanks also to Ben Welch for his kindness when visiting our home to take the photographs, and to Matthew Summerfield for managing the sale of the property. We really appreciated everyone’s help and would happily recommend Blake Stanley for their professional and friendly service.

Thanks to Oliver for facilitating and coordinating the viewings of our property, and setting things up.<br><br>And a huge apprecation for all the hardwork Martine put in toward the end of the journey, making sure we got over ther line to completion. Martine was our guide throughout, and was helping us through some challenging moments, but her commitment and hard work in dealing with all other parties in the chain ensured we were able to get through to the end. She always kept us informed, and was instrumental in pushing other parties (solicitors, agents and clients) to act quickly on outstanding enquiries. And she was super communicative, always willing to jump into urgent video calls to keep things moving. She was our guardian angel. Thank you Martine.<br><br>We would highly recommend Butler & Stag (and Martine) to anyone wishing to buy or sell a property.

He was quick to respond, easy to deal with and made the whole process much less stressful. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking to rent.

Unlike other estate agencies who I engaged with, Highcastle estates did their best to make you feel valued and supported during the process. Moreover, so far on the management side of the tenancy they have resolved any issues promptly and effectively. I would recommend them to friends and family.

23rd Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Portico. The process was marked by poor communication, disorganisation and conflicting information from different members of staff. We were repeatedly given assurances that turned out not to be accurate, and important information was either missed or communicated far too late.<br><br>The situation ultimately fell apart shortly before our planned move, leaving us scrambling to make alternative arrangements. What was particularly frustrating was the lack of accountability or clear explanation from Portico throughout the process.<br><br>A year on, this still stands out as one of the most poorly handled experiences we've had with a letting agent. I would strongly recommend getting everything confirmed in writing and not relying on verbal assurances.

Both Tobias and Irina were absolutely amazing throughout, they were incredibly professional and proactive in their communication and made my first time purchasing a property feel really smooth. Really appreciate their service and would definitely recommend!

Secrea's patient guidance and clear expertise demystified the entire reassignments process for us. She always kept us informed and responded promptly to our queries. Billy's proactive approach and exceptional communication skills were crucial in keeping things on track. He liaised with solicitors and efficiently resolved challenges, from documents to securing the completion date. We felt completely supported and informed throughout. We are incredibly grateful for their professionalism and dedication and highly recommend Lixing!

Will gave me information for both sales and lettings as I was not sure what I wanted to do at first. They were always willing to help when I had questions.
