From the very beginning, they went above and beyond, especially in accommodating us with our newborn, and did everything possible to help us secure our beautiful home, including arranging numerous viewings to suit our circumstances and advocating for us on stamp duty relief. We are incredibly grateful for their honesty, transparency, and clear communication throughout the entire process, which made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring. Zaid, in particular, has been an absolute asset to the team. His kindness, patience, and constant reassurance meant so much to us, and he genuinely felt like part of the family by the end of our journey. We got there in the end! We needed to sell quickly in order to secure the house we wanted and bw able to place a formal offer. They worked at speed, when I requested a valuation they respond immediately and launched our sale within a couple of weeks. Their service was first rate and included a pre launch video, a promotional video and an open day. We were able to secure our asking price, so our purchase could proceed. Their communication to us kept us fully informed throughout the process and all queries were dealt with in a timely manner. On a personal level we found Claire and Sam lovely professional people to deal with and they were always focused on delivery of great customer service. We highly recommend them.
19th Apr 2026 (20 days ago)As first-time buyers, our experience with this estate agency has been extremely disappointing and stressful. After viewing a property and having our offer accepted, we moved forward in good faith — instructing a solicitor and beginning our mortgage application. Despite repeatedly asking the agent, Sharukh, to mark the property as Sold STC, this was not done. We were told it would be updated after ID checks, which we completed promptly, yet the property remained listed as available online. During a second viewing, we encountered a very uncomfortable and unprofessional situation where the ashes of the previous owner were still present in the property. When we raised this concern, the response we received — suggesting we could “keep them and make tea” — was completely inappropriate and insensitive. Communication throughout was poor. Each time we called the office, we were told Sharukh was unavailable and would call back, which rarely happened. We then received a call informing us that another offer had been made and that the seller would decide. After that, we heard nothing further despite sending multiple follow-up emails over the course of a week. This experience has shown a clear lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect for buyers. We would strongly advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with this agency.

7th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)The whole team at Lane & Holmes are professional, friendly & genuinely care about selling your home. From their photos for the sales sheet, which were excellent, to liaising between the parties to ensure a smooth sale. The whole team seemed to be involved & we’re all up to date on the position so could pick up if someone was off. Once our house was sold, Cathy took over the liaising of seeing the sale through to completion. Thank you to the entire team for getting us through a highly stressful, at times, process , we are now in our new home.

Our onward purchase and move to Surrey has proved to be difficult but with help and advice from Ash, we have been able to resolve the problem with Ash being instrumental in holding the lower chain together. Both Rob and Ash were always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend their services.

My mum's retirement bungalow was a complicated sale due to lots of red tape via the housing association and took 2 years to go through with the first sale falling through after 8 months due to the housing association not doingitsadequatecheckson whether the buyer owned another property not allowed under the agreement! But Rob stuck it out and got a new buyer and chased everyone constantly, remaining calm under pressure and was a joy to work despite the housing association delaying things further and taking a year for the next sale to go through! Thank you Waldens I don't think we'd have got the sale over the line without you all - 5 star service!

She was very knowledgeable about the area and without having to be asked she was able to provide information about local amenities and schools etc. she also brought information of other properties we might be interested in based on our previous search and was very friendly and professional. After meeting with several estate agents recently, Shanice stands out as the best!

We are first time buyers and the purchase turned out to be much trickier and long winded than first thought, but Ruth and Stuart were amazing at chasing daily and getting all information to everyone involved.
