We needed to sell quickly in order to secure the house we wanted and bw able to place a formal offer. They worked at speed, when I requested a valuation they respond immediately and launched our sale within a couple of weeks. Their service was first rate and included a pre launch video, a promotional video and an open day. We were able to secure our asking price, so our purchase could proceed. Their communication to us kept us fully informed throughout the process and all queries were dealt with in a timely manner. On a personal level we found Claire and Sam lovely professional people to deal with and they were always focused on delivery of great customer service. We highly recommend them.
21st Apr 2026 (18 days ago)Drew Stewart (Howkins & Harrison): A True Professional with Great Courtesy This morning, I had what can only be described as a scrambled-egg-induced social mishap—and I feel compelled to share both the humour and my sincere apology. While in the middle of cooking breakfast (and very focused on avoiding the dreaded smell of burnt eggs taking over my home), the doorbell rang. Expecting a delivery, I rushed to answer it, only to find a well-dressed young gentleman who politely introduced himself as Drew. Before he could even explain his reason for visiting, I abruptly cut him off—twice—saying I was busy, and quickly shut the door. The moment I returned to the kitchen, the weight of my behaviour hit me. I realised how dismissive and abrupt I must have seemed, and I immediately felt awful. Determined to apologise, I rushed back outside hoping to find him nearby—but he was nowhere in sight. A little later, I heard something come through the letterbox. It was a note from Drew, kindly leaving his contact details and explaining his visit. I tried calling but couldn’t get through, so I sent an email apologising for my earlier behaviour. Thankfully, I later managed to speak with him—and I’m so glad I did. Drew was incredibly understanding, patient, and professional throughout. He listened to my explanation, reassured me, and even had a laugh about my overzealous attempt to prevent a burnt-egg disaster. His kindness completely put me at ease. I genuinely regret how I handled that initial interaction, but I’m very grateful for Drew’s professionalism and good nature. If I ever find myself answering the door to someone like him again, I’ll certainly handle things very differently. If you’re looking to work with someone approachable, professional, and genuinely pleasant, I would absolutely recommend Drew Stewart. He turned what started as an awkward encounter into a really positive experience.

Managed to sell the property in good time.

11th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)I'm not one for reviews but I have to share my experience. After renting my property out through Northwoods (a lot of years), it was time to buy a new property. They had been fantastic at managing the property over the years, with constant communication and regular updates. the property was never left empty for long, just long enough to allow maintenance to be done (By their approved contractors) before new tenants moved in. So based on their professionalism I choose them to handle the purchase. It just seemed effortless, again communication was spot on, I never once had to call to push along, Sara and Sam seemed to be one step ahead and kept me well informed explaining any issues that might arise, when there was a problem they sorted it all out with a common sense approach. When the other party seemed to be dragging their heels (solicitors) on completion, there they were again helping the transaction through to the end. I can not recommend these guys enough, for making everything hassle free, with no stress at all.

I found the team to be consistently professional, hard working and very friendly. From the first meeting with Richard (and throughout), he was so approachable and gave much helpful advice. Followed by Frazer taking amazing photos, capturing the home beautifully. Both arranged viewings and provided instant feedback. Charlotte was fabulous with guiding me through the post sale process, pulling out all the stops getting us to moving day. I cannot recommend them enough! 1st May 2026 (8 days ago)Sylwia at James Anthony has been great helping me and my sister move property. She visited us on another property and helped us find the one we're currently in. I think slightly more thorough checks could have been done to check all of the electric ports/ electric company had been told of our move, but overall a quick and smooth experience to get us moved in.
