21st Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Drew Stewart (Howkins & Harrison): A True Professional with Great Courtesy This morning, I had what can only be described as a scrambled-egg-induced social mishap—and I feel compelled to share both the humour and my sincere apology. While in the middle of cooking breakfast (and very focused on avoiding the dreaded smell of burnt eggs taking over my home), the doorbell rang. Expecting a delivery, I rushed to answer it, only to find a well-dressed young gentleman who politely introduced himself as Drew. Before he could even explain his reason for visiting, I abruptly cut him off—twice—saying I was busy, and quickly shut the door. The moment I returned to the kitchen, the weight of my behaviour hit me. I realised how dismissive and abrupt I must have seemed, and I immediately felt awful. Determined to apologise, I rushed back outside hoping to find him nearby—but he was nowhere in sight. A little later, I heard something come through the letterbox. It was a note from Drew, kindly leaving his contact details and explaining his visit. I tried calling but couldn’t get through, so I sent an email apologising for my earlier behaviour. Thankfully, I later managed to speak with him—and I’m so glad I did. Drew was incredibly understanding, patient, and professional throughout. He listened to my explanation, reassured me, and even had a laugh about my overzealous attempt to prevent a burnt-egg disaster. His kindness completely put me at ease. I genuinely regret how I handled that initial interaction, but I’m very grateful for Drew’s professionalism and good nature. If I ever find myself answering the door to someone like him again, I’ll certainly handle things very differently. If you’re looking to work with someone approachable, professional, and genuinely pleasant, I would absolutely recommend Drew Stewart. He turned what started as an awkward encounter into a really positive experience.

22nd Apr 2026 (16 days ago)Both Stuart and Tom have been an absolute god send in what was made an incredibly difficult transaction by Solicitors. They have chased relentlessly to keep momentum and without them, I’m certain we would have seen the time at least doubled. A difficult property to sell, they managed to quickly find me buyers when the sale fell through 3 times, remaining calm and efficient the entire time. Unfortunately the original property we were buying also fell through, but some great alternatives were quickly presented, noting all the things which were important for us. Thank you so much guys!

25th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)I was a tenant for over five and a half years. For the vast majority of that time (over five years), the property was managed by a different agent, and my experience during that period was consistently positive. In the final few months of my tenancy, the landlord changed managing agents to Chelton Brown, and unfortunately the experience changed significantly. During my tenancy, my rent was always paid in full and on time, and I took care to maintain the property throughout. I also contributed towards improvements, including new carpets, which reflected what I believed was a positive working relationship. However, the experience at the end of the tenancy was disappointing. After providing formal notice in December and vacating at the end of February, communication regarding my deposit was slow and unclear. It took two weeks to receive a breakdown of proposed deductions, with responses often taking a week or more. Throughout my tenancy, the property was inspected regularly and consistently reported as being in good condition. Given this, the delays and lack of clarity at the end of the tenancy were particularly frustrating. While the matter was eventually resolved, the process felt unnecessarily prolonged and lacked the level of professionalism I had experienced previously. A property business may focus on landlords and sales, but it is worth remembering that tenants are an essential part of that relationship. Without tenants, there is no income to manage. With clearer communication and more timely handling of deposit returns, the experience for tenants could be significantly improved.

Hassle-free, straightforward, and they made the whole process incredibly simple — exactly what you want as a landlord. Throughout every stage, they were thorough, on the mark, and gave me complete peace of mind with no worries whatsoever. Natasha and Ian are a brilliant team — always willing to help, always one step ahead, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The quality of service is second to none and I would not hesitate for a single moment to appoint them as my agents again. If you're looking for agents you can truly rely on, look no further. Highly recommended!

1st May 2026 (7 days ago)Sylwia at James Anthony has been great helping me and my sister move property. She visited us on another property and helped us find the one we're currently in. I think slightly more thorough checks could have been done to check all of the electric ports/ electric company had been told of our move, but overall a quick and smooth experience to get us moved in.

10th May 2022 (3 years ago)1st Choice a friendly family run business always maintained excellent communication which I really liked, if I had any problem weekday, weekend, or on a holiday, Kelly would reply back to my messages for support very quickly and same day. When I moved in to the property it was fully refurbished to an excellent standard. One time during winter I had a problem with my boiler with no heating for a few days. I made one call to 1st Choice and Mark dropped off some electric heaters, untill we got it fixed through Mear's. Anyone looking for property to rent then I would definatley recommend 1st Choice.

Communications excellent. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone buying or selling property in Moulton and surrounding areas. Jon and his team were absolute stars.
