11th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)I did not sell with them I removed my property because in 10 weeks they got me two viewings and another who didn’t show. I had two emails from them during the whole time. Very disappointed and as for you, the fact you think I’d sold through them tells be enough!
12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)1 star. I used Lane and Bennett to let and manage my property and would not use them again.<br><br>Communication was the first problem. I was constantly chasing them for updates and rarely got them without pushing. When they found new tenants I had to chase repeatedly just to find out whether the tenant had actually moved in. Getting hold of them by phone was a job in itself, as calls frequently went unanswered.<br><br>Throughout the tenancy there was a steady stream of maintenance issues, and on nearly every one I was steered towards their own contractors rather than being given a genuine choice. Tiles were cracked and it took repeated chasing over a long period before I was reimbursed.<br><br>The handover back to me was the worst of it. The property was returned filthy. The garden was unkept, the front driveway was unkept, there were burn marks in the carpets, the carpets had not been cleaned, and furniture was damaged. I had been charged for an inventory, yet none of this was properly recorded in it. An inventory that fails to capture obvious damage offers a landlord no protection at all.<br><br>The overall experience was of an agent that collected its fees, did not keep me informed, did not look after the property, and did not act in the landlord's interest. If you are a landlord considering them, be prepared to get your property back in a materially worse condition than you handed it over, and to do most of the chasing yourself.

Selling a property can be stressful, but Peter made the entire process smooth, straightforward, and even enjoyable. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly throughout. Nothing was ever too much trouble — he consistently went above and beyond at every stage. Whether it was keeping me updated, answering questions quickly, or handling unexpected challenges with total confidence, he exceeded every expectation I had. What really stood out was his dedication and work ethic. He didn’t just do his job — he truly cared about getting the best possible outcome for me. I can genuinely say he is light years ahead of any other estate agent I’ve ever dealt with. If you’re looking for someone reliable, proactive, and exceptional at what they do, Peter is the one. 4th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)We were kept informed at every step of the journey selling our property, everything went smoothly on the sale and the process of selling, it also helped a great deal with the solicitors being in house as they can liaise with each other without having to go through us regarding small matters, the team managed our sale and was also very professional and efficient, the person who valued the property was spot on and was instrumental in us choosing Connells due to their local knowledge, putting forward suggestions regarding the potential for the property also, it seems the company are very prominent in the area which I didn't notice until we started selling, there are Connells for sale signs everywhere in the area which is comforting to know, Thank you.

18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)I think it depends what partnership you have, I one I had the sales pitch was great but the communication throughout once I signed up with them was terrible, at one point t after I chased and chased for feedback after 1 week after a viewing they told me I had an offer, yes it was very low, but I was never told.

There are not many agents who would be catching up on their emails at 11:00pm and on their non work days.<br>Gabriella was the perfect combination of providing enough attention to us and the prospective tenants without being pushy.

The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.

They proposed a sensible pricing strategy which generated plenty of interest, arranged photography which showed the property to its best advantage and then efficiently handled the many enquiries and viewings. Once it was under offer (after only a couple of weeks), the team navigated us through to a speedy completion with professionalism and good humour. Couldn't be happier with their service, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The service I have received has been outstanding and I am impressed with the “due diligence” they have undertaken. Giving the changing legislation affecting landlords, I feel confident that IW Estates will ensure compliance with the law. I also expect that my tenants will have confidence that issues arising with the property they are renting will be dealt with in a timely manner. My point of contact is Ellie Smith and she has been outstanding in terms of advising me, creating new tenancy agreements and meeting my tenants. I know that she is supported by others in IW Estates and my thanks go to them as well as to Ellie. In summary, in my view, a highly professional Company who do everything “by the book” and deserve to do well in the highly competitive lettings business.
