5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!

From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and the sale of my flat was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine commitment. A special mention has to go to Nick, who truly went above and beyond at every stage of the process. He was proactive, responsive, and always willing to take the time to explain things clearly and keep me updated. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his dedication made what can often be a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring.

Enabling effective communication between all parties ensuring the sale kept on track and ensured comfort to me the seller and to the buyer. Remaining discreet and professional at all times. 14th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)So good for so long as a landlord, efficient and helpful. Then it went wrong when difficulties with tenants leaving when I needed to move back in. Feels like the tenants are priority and no attempt to use the accelerated process available, with everything on go slow. If I'm cynical , is this because they are still receiving rent and so earning fee which will stop when I get the house back? Currently feel I have no option but to take over eviction process myself. If you go with them, don't bother with paying for them to deal with evicting tenants, just do it yourself.
18th Dec 2025 (13 weeks ago)All the staff i had contact with were approachable and helpful. Sadly the buyer's solicitor was shocking. As this conveyancer was appointed by their lender which Connells had also arranged for the buyer. I would suggest connels/sellers check who the Solicitors are before agreeing any offers. Mine on paper was a straight forward transition and yet took over 4 months due to some shocking behaviour from these solicitors. Hopefully connells can provide feedback to the lender. As the sale was delayed, and never looked like it would complete, more viewings were conducted. However, I never really got any feedback on these. In the end the sale went through and I'm sure Andy in particular was relieved after all the stress it caused him, me and our decent solicitors.

From start to finish, the team has been consistently punctual, professional, and incredibly supportive, making what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and well?managed. A special thank you goes to Mark, whose service has been outstanding throughout. His patience, attentiveness, and genuine willingness to help made a real difference. Mark’s deep knowledge of both the properties and the local area was invaluable, and he always took the time to answer questions thoroughly and honestly. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to ensuring you feel informed and confident at every step. Overall, Geoffrey Matthew has been fantastic to work with, and I’m truly grateful for the level of care and professionalism they’ve shown. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Hayley did my onboarding and patiently took the time to explain the new laws and the landlord onboarding process in depth. Communication is top notch. The team managed to find me a high quality tenant during the Christmas period which is traditionally a difficult time to look for tenants. A very organized, professional and friendly team to work with.

The whole team was professional from start to finish, with excellent communication throughout every stage of the process. They kept me updated regularly, explained everything clearly, and were always quick to respond to any questions. All the staff were very helpful and polite, which made a real difference — every interaction felt easy and reassuring. What really stood out was how thorough they were — nothing felt rushed, and every detail was handled carefully. It made the whole experience far smoother and far less stressful than I expected. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Michael Graham to anyone looking for an estate agent who’s organised, reliable, and genuinely on top of things.

21st Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Anthony Lettings has been managing one of our rental properties in Hertford since 2016 when they took over from BlueTopp Lettings. The service has always ben excellent and the tenants have also been very good (no issues so far). Highly recommend as a landlord

From the outset Andrew took a genuine interest in my property and plans, and the photographs and brochure he organised were excellent. Andrew kept me informed at all stages and the dedicated WhatsApp group proved a very efficient method of communicating. A very friendly and efficient firm and I would highly recommend them.

I dealt with a few different agents in the process but the communication was always on point and as a team they always knew where I was up to in the process. I'd definitely be happy to work with them again.

27th Feb 2026 (19 days ago)Avocado have been a pleasure to deal with throughout. Their marketing was superb and customer service has been exceptional throughout. I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!
8th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)Simply the best agent in town. We started off with the process of having John coming round to value my parents' house and his knowledge of the market was second to none. As this was a unfamiliar process for myself as well as my parents, he made sure that no questions would be left answered and with his expertise, this gave us the confidence to instruct with William H Brown. Jonah, Isabella & Thomas done the viewings on separate occasions and they were fantastic throughout as they were very knowledgeable about the house as well as the overall area. Lastly, the manager Jack Elston provided perhaps one of the best customer service we had come across in our lifetime. Whilst of course, selling a house can be a waiting game, Jack was phenomenal with his communication as he always kept us up to date how the sale was progressing to the extent that he was even providing updates on solicitors whilst he was on annual leave. Every bit of communication was clear throughout and whilst the thought of selling a house might seem daunting, Jack and the team ensured that the sale would be very smooth. If you are looking to sell your house in Stevenage, then I would truly recommend to go with William H Brown and you will be in great hands with the team.

10th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)I have been working closely with IW Estates over the last few weeks as they take over the management of my property portfolio. The service I have received has been outstanding and I am impressed with the “due diligence” they have undertaken. Giving the changing legislation affecting landlords, I feel confident that IW Estates will ensure compliance with the law. I also expect that my tenants will have confidence that issues arising with the property they are renting will be dealt with in a timely manner. My point of contact is Ellie Smith and she has been outstanding in terms of advising me, creating new tenancy agreements and meeting my tenants. I know that she is supported by others in IW Estates and my thanks go to them as well as to Ellie. In summary, in my view, a highly professional Company who do everything “by the book” and deserve to do well in the highly competitive lettings business.
