From start to finish, Lisa went above and beyond to guide me through the process, staying professional and supportive, even with the unexpected delays. I truly believe the sale wouldn’t have completed without her efforts. Lisa’s communication was excellent, keeping me informed at every stage. I’m so grateful for all her help and would highly recommend her and the team.

Efficient, kept me informed without being intrusive which resulted in a sale. Followed by another sale through an auction house they are involved with. Can’t express my gratitude enough to the whole team

Julie Burdett and Nicola Clegg were particularly helpful with my transaction and supported well by Julie Gomersall when Nicola went on maternity leave. Claire Midgley was also great as a post sale progressor. Despite us and our sellers doing a lot of the communicating directly (through our sellers choice) she was very helpful, attentive, efficient and knowledgeable when I needed her. All round a great personal service and I have recommended them to a number of friends, family and colleagues.

During all this time Lorna has always been extremely helpful and knowledgable guiding me in the right direction. When I sold my rental property it came with many problems which Lorna overcame with hard work and good advice. Her communication was always first class. I would highly recommend as her work ethic is second to none

They responded quickly to my initial request of a valuation and also again when deciding to sell with them. My house was listed quickly with high quality pictures, a 360 tour and an accurate description. I dealt with Hayley who was professional and friendly throughout, she kept me updated reguarly and helped push it to completiion after a last minute delay. 100% recommend JR Properties!!

4th Mar 2026 (25 weeks ago)I had mixed personal reviews prior to my contacting Dourish and Day but I will NOT using them to sell my property as I'm appalled at the "it's not my job" attitude. I will be contacting the estate agency that sold my parents bungalow as they were proactive and cheaper fees! They refused to let myself, or my property agency, know the date/times of Dourish and Day availability for a valuation so an appointment could be arranged with my tenant. They also refused to make ONE phone call and contact the tenant directly as Dourish and Day had misunderstood what my tenant had said upon initial contact. My agent informed me that they have tried making contact but are awaiting a response from Dourish and Day which Dourish and Day have denied. When I requested an update this is the response "We will not move forward until they call us with the tenants availability for us to attend as it is their responsibility to clear things with them."

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.<br>Naomi never managed the property properly and gave me a lot of incorrect information. If you tried to call the office, she would rarely answer the phone or return calls.<br>When I decided to end my contract, she aggressively tried to charge me additional fees because the tenant wanted to remain in the property, claiming that she had found the tenant.<br>I am so glad I switched to a different agency and have been with them ever since. She also never returned my property keys.<br>She comes across as nice at first, but in my experience, I would be very cautious. I found her to be unprofessional, and I would advise others to avoid this agency if possible.
