Her communication was excellent and she always took the time to answer any questions I had. I’d also like to thank Freddie for his support. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, approachable, and made the whole process much less stressful. I would highly recommend this estate agency to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
26th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I’ve just had one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had with an estate agent after enquiring about a rental property through Mortimers in Clitheroe. I received a call to go through some pre-qualifying questions and was asked whether I had any adverse credit history. I answered honestly and explained my circumstances. The response I got was incredibly rude and dismissive — I was immediately informed that I would fail referencing and that I can’t even apply for any of their properties. I explained that I am now debt free, earn more than enough to comfortably afford the rent, have an excellent rental history, can provide references, and even have a guarantor available if required. None of that mattered. I was flat-out refused before even being allowed to view or formally apply for the property in question. What makes this even more frustrating is being told they would consider applicants currently in debt, but not someone who has had debt written off and has since rebuilt their finances responsibly. That logic makes absolutely no sense. The overall tone of the conversation was extremely judgemental and degrading. I was spoken to as though I was beneath consideration from the moment I answered honestly. There was absolutely no empathy, professionalism or willingness to discuss options. I appreciate landlords and agents need criteria but that is extreme and circumstances should be judged individually. There’s a way to speak to people respectfully — and this was not it.

Ali Hamza was my main point of contact when I contacted the office. I found Ali to be very helpful and informative. He was always aware of progress with the sale. Towards the end he used his friendly approach to bring buyer, seller and solicitor together to ensure that completion took place in a timely manner. Thank you Ali.
7th Jun 2026 (29 days ago)Terrible service received by my daughter. She made an appointment to view a house, she waited, knocked on the door and no one was there. She the callled to be advised the lady should be there. She waited for quite some time then had to return to work. They have still not called to apologise or explain. This is shocking customer service. I would not sell or buy a house from this company

31st May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Don’t ever use dewhurst homes and avoid at all costs A property that we loved recently went up for sale We agreed a visit When we got to the visit the person showing us around had no clue on the property, the onward chain and couldn’t answer basic of questions, not there fault at all. More on the company sending her out when she specialises in rentals, we then put a bid forward and told it was rejected. We then proceeded to put a second offer in, they called us and said our first offer rejected no word on the second offer, we told them the second offer and was told oh this would be rejected and basically laughed down the phone. Third offer sent and same again told it wouldn’t be accepted, we then went above asking price and was told by Dewhurst homes the seller had accepted much higher but not responding so our offer is accepted, we agreed a mortgage and conveyancer and now been told sorry we’ve gone back to original person as been back in touch. Please avoid and take care if having any dealings with these rats
1st Jul 2026 (5 days ago)Im not best pleased with the way you have advertised a bungalow to rent on moorland road langho .it is not at all like pictures on your advert . The photos make it look really nice . I travelled from wrexham to langho to be greeted by a tree almost blocking the entrance and the state of the bungalow left a lot to be desired it was not as we were led to believe ready to move into ..the landlord was there fitting a carpet .he was a loverly man .<br>I think the way it was advertised was from photos years ago . And to my mind was false representation. To spend 3 hours travelling was a waste of my time had I k ow it wasn't ready for letting I wouldn't have viewed it and wasted my time .

The team at Keenan’s have been incredibly helpful especially Phillipa Nichols who went out of her way to assist me with the ‘big move in’ and she is also very kind with a good sense of humour which made it very easy. I couldn’t be happier and I took forward to the continued tenancy with them. Awesome team - Kate xx

9th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)We had the best experience with Wainwright's from start to finish. I would highly recommend this estate agents. Although when I looked at cost, it was slightly more, the service we received far outweighed the money we paid. We changed to Wainwright's after using another estate agents and I don't regret it. Within a few weeks they had sold our house and the service was impeccable. Every member of staff was dedicated to selling our house. Don't hesitate to use Wainwright's estate agents. Thank you everyone at Wainwright's ??????

They worked hard to keep things moving and keep us updated throughout. Moving house can be stressful so it's important to be in good hands and we certainly felt like we were. Thanks to Leanne, Harry and the wider team for helping us to secure our dream home!

7th Feb 2026 (21 weeks ago)The property I am renting has a leaking kitchen ceiling and a boiler that drops pressure at least a couple of times a week. I reported the issues for repairs months ago but I am still waiting for a response and a fix. Feels like poor customer service to me.

We were not just another house sale, Paul was supportive, informative, available even at night time when you may need answers Paul would reply.
