From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and the sale of my flat was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine commitment. A special mention has to go to Nick, who truly went above and beyond at every stage of the process. He was proactive, responsive, and always willing to take the time to explain things clearly and keep me updated. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his dedication made what can often be a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring.
16th Aug 2026 (8 days ago)Andrew, Nicola and Toby were all fantastic throughout my sale experience. Andrew talked me through the whole process and put my property on the market. Using the web portal they'd set up for me, it made it easy to see what viewings were happening and I could keep track on the process. When the offer came in it was a straight forward process to accept and move on to the next stage. There were some problems with my buyer later down the line but Nicola worked tirelessly to get the movement through and communicated well every step of the way
13th May 2026 (15 weeks ago)Fennwright as not acted in my best interest upon end of tenancy. I paid my rents and never delayed a minute and when I ended my tenancy upon expiration of agreement, I was presented a bill of £505 which I found to be unfair to me. I contacted Fennwright and it’s clear my opinion and interest doesn’t matter to them except for that of the landlord. I am also your client and deserve better treatment. Not sure I can deal with Fennwright again because it’s clear they are on the side of the landlord and not the tenants

Olivia reached out to us via their mailing list knowing exactly what we were looking for, and found us a property that ticked every box — she clearly has a great eye for matching buyers with the right home. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, always contactable and ready to help, which made the whole process so much smoother. Couldn’t recommend her and the team highly enough!

Toni was nothing short of amazing,fast, efficient, supportive, and always on top of everything. She made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free, and we are so grateful for her dedication and hard work! A big thank you as well to Adam Brittain, Senior Property Advisor, whose knowledge, guidance, and professionalism made such a difference. He was always helpful and reassuring throughout the journey. And of course, Freya Tilbury, Trainee Property Advisor,our very first point of contact! Freya was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the moment we stepped in to view the property. 8th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)Edit- this review was taken down temporarily, due to abbots reporting it, despite it being a fair and just review. They are upset that their ai photos dont look good, and somebody called them out! Although my 1 star is not only for the ai photos, as they know.<br><br>I could tell you a million reasons as to why this company is the worst letting agency out there, but I will keep it short. Unprofessional workers who treat you awful, and bully you. Peter I will never forget your rudeness, even though they moved you to a different branch, instead of firing you. You are evil and attempt to make tenants lives worse. I do not say this lightly. They also use ai photos to advertise for real properties (making the outside of the house look brand new when in real life, it is crumbled and overgrown). This is clearly a bad choice because you are falsely advertising properties, by enhancing them and making them look significantly more done up and clean than they are. Definitely avoid, if you can!<br><br>I will also add that the fact they tried to hide my review, surely says alot. They know they have done wrong yet they will not correct it. A completely dishonest, disrespectful company. Go diggins or something, at least they use real images of the properties, and dont try to scam you.<br><br>Pictures attatched are some clear ai images used for one of their properties. If you cannot tell, take a moment to look and it will become obvious. The lamp? The weird kitchen decor? Not to even mention that they have completely erased all the peeling wallpaper, the real floor, etc, everything in these images is fake. This is outrageous. (Also weird photo of ai jesus?)

Right from the start, they were very knowledgeable about the market, always professional, understanding and approachable. Having never sold a property they helped us from the smallest of inquiries to keeping us informed of everything that was happening during the exchange/completion process.<br><br>They expertly marketed the property with quality photography. They were always prompt to reply to any calls/emails and nothing was too much trouble.<br><br>Would definitely recommend this team.<br><br>- Dawn Martin

1st Aug 2026 (23 days ago)We had heard that selling a house is a stressful experience. However we found that it isn’t, if GianFranco at Hortons is acting for you! From the initial contact we found GianFranco to be efficient, professional, proactive and thoroughly pleasant. He sold our property on the day of the first set of viewings and kept us informed all the way up to completion. I could not have scripted a more stress free experience myself. There should be a five star plus rating to do justice to excellence like GianFanco’s. Thank you on behalf of our family.

On the contrary, they had a great, professional, contemporary approach which was switched on to what sellers and buyers are looking for. Great service and not a slimy three piece suit in sight!

They have moved away from the traditional hard sell estate agent , they work with huge knowledge and quiet confidence. We are happy with all aspects of their work and would say that despite their higher fees they are worth every penny.

We had a few agents come out to value our property, but we decided to go with Colubrid because, from our first meeting, Joshua seemed extremely confident that he could sell our home quickly. As the Chelmer Village estate agent, he explained that properties like ours are his bread and butter. Our property went on the market on Thursday and was sold by Monday. I cannot thank Joshua and the team enough for their hard work and professionalism throughout. I believe Millie conducted the viewings, and I was told she was local to the area. That certainly showed, as her knowledge of Chelmer Village helped generate multiple offers on our property. If you're thinking of choosing Colubrid, don't hesitate. I would highly recommend them.

7th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)Was shown a house yesterday by Anya Williamson of Colchester agents Durden & Hunt. Although the house was not for me, a HUGE thanks to Anya for her initiative prior to the viewing. She called me in advance to find out if I needed parking permit! A relative newbie to the property business, this young woman scored a first here for me – no agent has ever demonstrated such forethought towards me EVER! Usually, the viewer is just another name on a list during a day’s work. Not so for Anya. Durden & Hunt need to look out for this lady otherwise she could be headhunted out to an agency who values people who use their initiative.
