28th Jul 2022 (3 years ago)Very sadly, I entrusted Michael Bennett of BestGapp with the letting of my property. A security key was given to an un-Named tenant whose background had never been properly checked, and who appears to have lived at my property in addition to the Named tenant. I discovered my property was seriously dilapidated after only 3mths when I initiated the Q1 inspection that Michael had failed to. After refusing to either act in or represent my interests at all, I was obliged to fire BestGapp. Tenant left, but - yet again in breach of the AST and apparently on the advice of Michael - failed to professionally clean the property, having also taken belongings of the property. BestGapp have held a lien over the deposit that I paid them to register at the DPS against my property and have refused to allow the DPS to adjudicate, which I believe to be illegal (criminal). A hugely stressful, distressing and time-consuming experience that BestGapp have ensured through their adversarial conduct cannot be resolved amicably. The damage to my property exceeds the net rent achieved by BestGapp by a factor of 2-3x. Unregulated (until proven otherwise) Cowboys! Myself and my property were placed at virtually unlimited Risk through my misplaced Trust in BestGapp. I am also pending an explanation of why I was billed a rate >30% higher than that charged by the high-end cleaners used by The Grosvenor Estate for the pre-check-In Cleaning of my property by a small firm I had never heard of, especially when my property had been left in immaculate (mostly brand new) condition in the first place. In this context, highly suspicious!!

23rd Apr 2021 (5 years ago)Rented through Anthony Garfield for a few years. There were no disasters but I couldn't recommend them. Pros: they fixed most issues promptly and we got our deposit back. Cons: they weren't professional when it came to inventories and tenancy agreements. Customer service was normally either defensive or combative. You got the impression that they just see tenants as an inconvenience involved in collecting their commission.
20th Dec 2023 (2 years ago)Unprofessional agency. Tried to call them today several times, but nobody picked up. When they did pick up, they told me they’ll call me back after 15 minutes without even taking my number. It’s been an hour now, no one called. If that’s how it is from the beginning, then I will not be giving them my money.

From our first meeting to our last, he was very professional, patient, thoughtful, and most importantly, got things done in a way that fitted our needs. Very satisfied with the expertise and support he provided to us and would recommend him to anyone.

1st Sep 2024 (1 year ago)Lack of feed back on viewings Turning up late for viewings Manager never checked to see how I'm getting on. No assurance No data updates on people interested in property. Manager had left and no courtesy call to advise. Not a good experience at all, felt let down.
30th Jul 2025 (9 mo. ago)Firstly I met Saphia who drove from Eltham to Whitstable to show me around a property. She was professional polite and knew the property in side out showing various little extras. Saphia told me exactly what was being left in the property and also the best way to proceed. When it was time to close the deal Alex came again from Eltham to Whitstable and stayed with me throughout the whole process of buying my lodge which was around 4 hours. I had to go into town and contact my bank which took longer than expected. Alex was still waiting with a smile and never once made me feel like I was putting him out. I felt supported from start to finish. I cannot recommend this company enough.. If I had a property in London.. Or the South East I wouldn't not hesitate to contact Equity... Honest.. Open and transparent.. What a brilliant company.. Thank you so much.

Unprofessional, no communication skills, sneaky, loves telling lies, no care attitude until something needs sorting their end. Seems to magically forget or pretend to be unaware of rules and regulations. Do yourself a favour and stay as far away as possible from this place. How it still runs baffles me. Shocking is an understatement
