We appointed Ben for our recent sale as his knowledge of the local Wargrave market was clearly a level above all the other agents we spoke to, and he gave us the confidence that he’d achieve the value we were looking for for our home. The photos and floor plans were arranged very quickly, and were excellent quality. But the best thing was Ben’s communication throughout the process, we were always kept up to date and Ben was always quick to step in to help keep things moving - we ended up exchanging less than 3 months after confirming the appointment, and we’ll be completing on the date first requested by our buyers at the outset, so a great result all round, particularly with four parties in the chain. Thanks Ben and team!

25th Apr 2026 (14 days ago)Hodsons found a buyer for my property with the help of Anita Smith at good price with excellent communication throughout the viewing and offer acceptance process. My buyer was a naive first time buyer who chose a terrible solicitor (Premier Property Lawyers) who presented multiple challenges throughout the convencying process such as absent communication, missed deadlines and bad paperwork. However, Hodsons with Lesley Fenwick and Kerry Nichols provided excellent support and communication to chase the buyer and their solicitor throughout the convencying process to push through the sale.
27th Feb 2026 (10 weeks ago)We chose Bevilles to sell our much loved Edwardian property because of their long standing reputation as an outstanding estate agent. We were not dissappointed: We did not have a straightforward sale by any means, but Bevilles provided wise counsel throughout. They just have so many years' experience selling in Sonning Common and the neighbouring villages. They know the area and everyone knows them. It is not just Richard, but the whole team who work together and are always there when you need them. After two buyers pulled out and then seemingly endless viewings, our sale ended up in a bidding war. We were extremely pleased with the winning buyer who clearly loved the property as much as we did. We felt that, thanks to Bevilles, we were able to leave our rather special house and garden in very good hands.

8th Apr 2026 (4 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Adams Estates. The checkout process felt unfair and heavily biased against the tenant. Many items listed in the report were inaccurate or related to normal wear and tear after two years of living in the property. Some conditions mentioned, such as mould, marks, and general ageing, were already present when I moved in, yet they were still included as issues at checkout. There were also claims about missing items that were actually present, which makes it hard to trust the accuracy of the inspection. The property was not newly renovated when I moved in, but the expectations at checkout felt unrealistic. I am willing to pay reasonable charges where genuinely justified, but the overall handling of this situation has seriously affected my trust in this agency.

Then once we view the property and put in an application, they state pets will not be accepted. They must get some form of commission per application…

From the outset, he was approachable, knowledgeable and generous with his time, offering clear advice without pressure. His guidance on timing the market, particularly around seasonal trends and external factors, felt balanced and genuinely in our best interests. Communication was consistent. Mark regularly checked in, kept us updated and followed up diligently after viewings with feedback. We were impressed with the quality of the marketing which helped generate strong early interest. During negotiations, Mark showed persistence. He helped secure a strong outcome, giving us confidence at each step. Importantly, he remained engaged well beyond the initial sale agreed stage, supporting the process through survey, solicitor queries and the inevitable delays that come with a property sale. What stood out most was his willingness to go above and beyond, whether assisting with practical matters at the property while we were overseas or simply being available when needed. Overall, a highly professional, trustworthy and personable service. We would not hesitate to recommend Mark at Bespoke.
