Will is very confident and competent, even in challenging market conditions. Acorn are not difficult to get a hold of via phone, and the back office team are efficient too. Highly recommend.
6th Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)Would highly recommend Stanfords after selling our flat with them recently - we mostly dealt with Alex and Sean, and Robyn did an incredible job with the photos.<br><br>We had a number of agents over to value the flat and we chose Stanfords because they are a local, independent agent. Alex did the valuation and was approachable and honest, and gave us confidence that they would do a great job of selling the flat. We also liked his 'to market' approach, which was realistic, like his valuation.<br><br>The flat sold in it's first weekend and Alex and team made sure the sale progressed nicely throughout. They were communicative and always available as the sale progressed, and provided useful advice when our onward purchase plans changed. 12th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)Both my Brother and myself recently sold our Family Home of 53 years , due to sad circumstances, through Megan Elvins and John Buckley. On first meeting John, he was very professional and friendly, making myself feel very assured that we'd chosen the right Estate Agent for us. We felt their valuation was spot on, the marketing photos looked great with communication via WhatsApp and email being very good from start to finish. Megan, especially, kept myself calm, as it was a very stressful process over 10 months. Megan came across as being very professional, friendly with a calming influence. We couldn't have undertaken this sale without Megan and John. Highly recommend Fairfield Estate Agents.
10th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)I would highly recommend Alpha Residential. Lisa and Rob were always responsive and went above and beyond with their service while we were selling our house. Rob was very supportive and always contacted all the solicitors if there were any delays. Rob is a very positive agent and his sense of humour helped us to overcome a difficult time as one of the properties we were buying fell through. He was patient and engaged our buyer until we found a new property. For us it was a long process of selling and buying a new property, but Rob was with us in this situation and at the end we got the property we wanted as well as our buyer. Thank you Rob and Lisa, you were great!

He was calm, level-headed and reassuring at every stage, while also being proactive and keeping everything moving behind the scenes. He communicated clearly, handled any challenges without drama and always made me feel that the sale was in safe hands. Selling a property can be incredibly stressful, but William made the whole process feel much more manageable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

20th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)We used Bourne to fully manage the lettings service for letting our property for several years. During our most recent tenancy, we experienced a number of communication issues. At the time, we were led to believe these difficulties were due to the tenants, but subsequent events left us questioning whether that was the full picture.<br><br>After the tenants vacated the property, we carried out an inspection and found a number of issues that, in our view, should have been identified during the routine property inspections carried out as part of the managed service.<br><br>We then faced significant challenges when trying to progress discussions regarding damage to the property and potential remedial works. Communication was poor, with emails and telephone calls often going unanswered, and messages rarely returned. We eventually escalated our concerns to Josh Haynes, who was more responsive, but the overall process remained frustrating and, in our opinion, fell well below the standard we expected from a fully managed service.<br><br>One particularly disappointing incident occurred following the check-out inspection. We had informed Bourne that we intended to take a break from renting out the property. My wife was told that the inspection had been completed and that she could collect the keys. She made a 30-minute journey to the office with our newborn baby, collected the keys, and returned home. Shortly afterwards, Bourne contacted her to ask where the keys were, as they still needed access to the property for the inspection process. This resulted in unnecessary inconvenience and stress at an already demanding time for our family. What disappointed us most was the lack of any meaningful apology for the mistake.<br><br>Having been a long-term client, we also felt there was little acknowledgement of our many years as customers when we decided to stop renting the property.<br><br>Based on our experience, the service we received did not justify the cost of a fully managed package. The lack of communication, poor handling of issues, and customer service shortcomings mean that we would not use Bourne again and would recommend that prospective landlords carefully consider their options before choosing this agency.

They helped us from<br>Start to finish, from negotiating, communicating with the seller and when the inevitable hurdles came (not from MV!) they helped us patiently, and made what could have been a bumpy process feel very smooth keeping both us and the seller of the property reassured and happy. They made us feel like a personal friend and not a client and were always happy to have a chat even when there were no real updates to share. I’d recommend this team completely. They are a lovely bunch of people who provided an excellent service from start to finish.<br><br>From our original meeting, where we discussed the property, our expectations on price and how the market was performing at the time, we immediately felt at ease with Tom and his team.<br><br>The photos and videos really showed off the house, and as we have what can only be described as a “hobby room” — complete with a slot car track, lots of cars and paraphernalia, plus a painting station — Tom did a great job of explaining to potential viewers that it was actually a large double bedroom and not just a man cave!<br><br>My main gripe with estate agents is communication, or in some cases, the lack of it. When you have found your perfect house and are waiting for your own property to sell, being kept up to date with viewings and feedback is crucial — not only to the sales process but also for your own peace of mind. Again, the team were fantastic on this point.<br><br>I particularly liked the fact that they had a dedicated team member, Clare, who conducted all the viewings. Clare visited the property herself and asked lots of questions so that she could answer anything potential buyers might ask. Some agents will send several different team members to viewings, sometimes without them having even visited the property themselves.<br><br>When it came to negotiations, Tom secured us a fair price considering the current market and kept us fully informed throughout all the conversations, allowing us to make informed decisions.<br><br>Finally, Thomas James have a dedicated “finisher”, Elliott, who took over once the offer had been accepted. Elliott had a pretty hard time dealing with the agent for the people we were buying from, but he handled it with ease, kept us informed throughout and ultimately got us over the line.<br><br>All in all, Thomas James may be that bit more expensive, but we genuinely feel the service they offer is worth the extra ¼%. We have already recommended them to a neighbour, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone else looking to sell their home.
