29th Sep 2022 (3 years ago)I'd happily recommend Sharman Quinney to anyone looking for mortgage advisor. I used them to get a mortgage for purchasing my first house. Phil was extremely helpful and made the experience very easy. I had been left in the dark by another mortgage advisor which made the start of the already daunting experience even worse. Phil set me at ease, he made the effort to keep in contact and guide me through the whole process. He explained everything clearly and offered good advice wherever I was unsure. All while being a genuine and friendly guy who clearly cares about his client’s needs.

They ensured that what is -with the best will in the world - rather a stressful process, became as hassle-free an experience as possible.<br>What is more, they found us a buyer incredibly quickly. Our sales negotiator at the Stamford office, Ms Bennie, responded extremely sensitively to the type of property we were selling and therefore ensured that only the most sympathetic of potential viewers were shown around the house.<br>Thereafter, all subsequent sale negotiations were handled speedily, courteously, and to everyone’s satisfaction.<br>We would not hesitate to use Savills in Stamford again – and indeed, are about to do so!<br><br>Further to the above - we have just sold a second property through Savills in Stamford. Ms Victoria Short was our first contact and was really superb at suggesting the best way to market our property - AND any changes we might like to make before the process began. With Ms Bennie who has handled the final negotiations, Ms Caisley and the wonderful viewings team, the process throughout has been hugely supportive and highly efficient. I couldn't recommend them enough - and have recently done so to a couple in our village who are about to add their names to the Savills client list.

The staff , Particularily Tom and Lucy, were so helpful as to guide me through all the different Apps and processes that were needed.<br><br>The property was extremely clean and the garden was even strimmed and tidied up, which was a delight. The owners had left me a bottle of wine, which happened to be the kind I drink.<br><br>Thank you very much.
14th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)Wouldn’t use this agent again to help find a property. Communication was very poor throughout the process. We viewed a property back in February and were initially told the landlord wouldn’t accept our application. Later, after the property had not had many viewings, they accepted an application from us. We were completely transparent from the start about a recently paid-off CCJ. After going through referencing, we were left waiting only to eventually be told the landlord decided not to proceed after another interested party came along. This could and should have been communicated much earlier. The agency seems to prioritise landlord decisions at the expense of customer care and basic communication. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

From the very beginning, he was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to making the entire process as smooth and stress-free as possible. He kept me informed at every stage, answered all of my questions promptly, and always made himself available whenever I needed assistance. What really stood out was how far Faizan went above and beyond his role to ensure everything was taken care of. His attention to detail, proactive communication, and willingness to help with even the smallest concerns made a huge difference. It's rare to find someone who is so dedicated to providing outstanding service, and I would highly recommend Faizan to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy letting agent. The viewing was nicely timed without being rushed and follow-up emails sent on as promised. Having used Newton Fallowell as agents quite a few years ago for my rental properties & now a tenant myself - it really is a refreshing change to know that you are in good hands. I do believe that they are a company that are looking after the best interests of both the tenants and landlords. Highly recommended !
2nd Jul 2026 (3 days ago)Avoid at all costs — Complete Trap!<br>Don't trust them and don't get trapped. They are incredibly nice and welcoming right up until you make your deposit and move in. However, the moment you inform them that you are moving out, they show their real face. Total scammers! Save your money and your sanity—look elsewhere.

Lisa in particular has always been on standby, sending texts, voice notes and making calls at any given moment. Nothing seemed to much trouble and there was always a friendly vibe, even when things were tough. It takes a special sort of someone to always be happy and friendly in a job like this, and Lisa fits the bill every time! Thank you for all you did for the sale & completion of my property. Highly recommend to all! ??????

Tried to take our whole deposit due to apparently not giving notice when moving but we had, Gemma didn’t communicate within the work place. Had to keep contacting them to get a response about our deposit. No one ever replied unless we had emailed them 4/5 times. Very quick to be on your case when needing something but slow as a snail if you need anything sorted. Was very rude down the phone to my partner at one point.
14th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)Absolutely outstanding from start to finish, it's fair to say we had just about every barrier in the way of our onward purchase, but both James & Kim worked tirelessly to get it over the line for us, the guidance, the support and everything inbetween made a huge differance to both myself and my family. They didn't have to do half of what they did for us but the fact is they wanted to help and are genuinely lovely people & I can't thank them enough.

5th Jun 2026 (30 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Hurfords Castor throughout my purchase process. What should have been a straightforward communication chain turned into months of chasing, repeated follow-ups and broken promises of “we’ll call you back” that rarely materialised. The most frustrating part has not even been the complexity of the transaction itself, but the complete lack of ownership and urgency despite the fact that my mortgage expiry date was clearly communicated multiple times. I repeatedly found myself having to: chase updates that were promised but never provided follow up multiple times on simple requests contact the office to find out who was even covering the file when the assigned agent was unavailable ask several times for communications to simply be forwarded to the seller At this stage of the transaction, with only days remaining before mortgage expiry, I still found myself struggling to get basic callbacks and confirmations. Reading other reviews, I can unfortunately see that many people appear to have experienced very similar issues around communication and follow-through. Buying a property is stressful enough without clients having to constantly manage the estate agency themselves just to keep momentum on the transaction. I have attached asked the director to intervene at the end of January 2026. It is now May and I still haven't got any replies, nor witnessed any improvements in their client service.
