30th Sep 2026 (27 days ago)Would give 0 stars if I could.<br><br>My experience with KFH has been an absolute nightmare.<br><br>I moved into a property in January and was completely unaware beforehand that it had significant damp and mould. Once I discovered it, I repeatedly reported the issues to KFH and their property management team. Despite numerous emails, follow-ups and maintenance visits, the underlying damp was never properly addressed.<br><br>I was repeatedly reassured by people connected to the landlord that there was nothing wrong with the property, despite the problems I was experiencing. Even KFH staff told me that “no one had raised it before”, despite the bedroom smelling so strongly of damp that it felt like an underground aquarium. Communication from KFH was also extremely poor, with very slow responses which left me constantly having to chase for updates.<br><br>Eventually, the property became uninhabitable and I had no choice but to move out and pay for alternative accommodation, resulting in thousands of pounds of additional costs and losses.<br><br>I paid for an independent damp and mould inspection myself, which confirmed the property had significant damp and mould. Despite this, I still had to leave the property.<br><br>What makes the situation even more frustrating is that £750 of my deposit has now been awarded to the landlord, despite everything that happened during the tenancy. I find this completely unacceptable given the circumstances and KFH made no attempt to resolve the situation and protected a very corrupt landlord.<br><br>This has been ongoing since January and has caused an enormous amount of stress. I have ultimately decided to walk away from pursuing the matter further for the sake of my own sanity.<br><br>I would never ever use KFH again based on my experience. I would STRONGLY advise anyone considering renting through them to think very carefully. The way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing, from the branch I dealt with right through to head office and area manager.<br><br>AVOID!!
16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Chestertons Islington is, without question, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The sheer incompetence, appalling communication and complete lack of accountability throughout our experience have been genuinely astonishing.<br><br>Our tenancy and moving-out process was an absolute nightmare. We incurred approximately £4,000 in additional costs, spent countless hours chasing emails and attempting to resolve issues, and were subsequently faced with further disputes over what we consider to be completely unreasonable deposit deductions.<br><br>What makes this experience particularly infuriating is the apparent unwillingness to acknowledge mistakes or take meaningful responsibility for resolving them. The amount of time, money and energy we have wasted dealing with Chestertons is frankly ridiculous. For a company that markets itself as a reputable, high-end estate agency, the standard of service we received was nothing short of disgraceful.<br><br>The only exception has been Alhad, who has been helpful throughout an otherwise horrendous experience.<br><br>I cannot stress enough how strongly I would advise anyone against using Chestertons Islington- AND CHESTERTONS AS A WHOLE. I have genuinely never encountered such consistently poor service from any company. An extraordinarily expensive, stressful and exhausting experience that I would not wish on anyone.<br><br>Avoid at all costs.
3rd Oct 2026 (24 days ago)I had a really positive experience with Rhia Evelyn. She was incredibly friendly, professional and helpful throughout the whole process. She was very cooperative, answered all my questions clearly and always responded very quickly, which I really appreciated.<br><br>Although in the end the property wasn’t quite right for us, my experience with Rhia was excellent. She made the viewing and communication very easy and pleasant. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a helpful and responsive estate agent. Thank you, Rhia! ??????

She is very helpful and very quick to respond to any concerns and enquiries that I had raised since I have moved to the property.

15th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Disappointing Experience and Lack of Clear Communication<br>I am very disappointed with my experience with this estate agent.<br>When I agreed to proceed with the property purchase, the sellers clearly confirmed that they would move out on the completion date. The estate agent also confirmed this, which gave me confidence to move forward with the purchase.<br>Based on these assurances, I paid my solicitor for the property searches. Once the search results were received, I also booked and paid for a survey, committing further time and money to the process.<br>However, at this stage, the sellers suddenly informed us that their circumstances had changed and that they could no longer confirm when they would be able to move out. This was extremely frustrating, as the original arrangement had been clearly confirmed to us.<br>I contacted the estate agent hoping they would help resolve the situation, but unfortunately, the issue remained unresolved, leaving us in a very difficult and uncertain position.<br>I understand that circumstances can change, but when buyers are given clear assurances and make financial commitments based on them, I believe better communication, more careful handling, and greater support are essential.<br>Overall, this has been a very disappointing and stressful experience. I expected a much more professional approach and better support from the estate agent throughout the process. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve how they manage expectations and communicate with buyers in similar situations.
