They were professional, patient, super helpful (more than our actual lawyers), and got things moving for us to progress through the process. TBH our personal experience of buying the house was awful due to our lawyers but Gary from Connells was the only person that kept us sane.. also bonus he has a good sense of humour! Would definitely recommend them to anyone buying or selling their property!

12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)Aaron, Sam and Millie were a real pleasure to work with when we sold our house in Sawbridgeworth and purchased our new cottage.<br>They are all highly professional and friendly, and provided an excellent service.<br>We were kept up to date throughout the entire process and they were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had.<br>We would have no hesitation in recommending Intercounty in future.

19th Jun 2026 (9 weeks ago)talk the talk to get you in, but if you're a low value property they don't put much effort in. i got 0 feedback from the viewings i had. one time an agent didn't turn up and the viewer went home and didn't re book. poor communication in responding to emails. i felt like my property was low on their list of priorities. no chase up when the contract was coming to an end to see if i wanted to extend. when i said i was listing with another agent they didn't ask for feedback or try to keep my business.

David and his team were exceptional from start to finish and would like to say a big thank you for not only selling our property but also finding us the house we needed to hopefully get our eldest into Simon Balle Secondary School! We highly recommend Shepherds Thanks again!
1st Aug 2026 (22 days ago)We had a very disappointing experience trying to rent a property through this agency. After paying a holding deposit and completing the referencing process, communication was consistently poor, with long delays and little transparency.<br><br>We later discovered (only because a friend enquired about viewing the property) that the landlord was planning to sell. This was never communicated to us, despite us waiting for our tenancy to begin and making arrangements to leave our current home. Had we not found out ourselves, we could have been left without somewhere to live.<br><br>We only received our holding deposit back after threatening to escalate the matter, and throughout the process we were made to feel as though our concerns were unreasonable. The property is still being advertised on their website. Overall, a very frustrating and stressful experience. I would not recommend this agency.

21st Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Anthony Lettings has been managing one of our rental properties in Hertford since 2016 when they took over from BlueTopp Lettings. The service has always ben excellent and the tenants have also been very good (no issues so far). Highly recommend as a landlord

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

All the property viewings were carried out without us needing to be involved and we were continually updated throughout. Thank you Elliot Heath we could not have done it without you!
17th Aug 2026 (6 days ago)Our experience with Ben Reddan and the Letting team was excellent<br>Our experience with the sales team, not so.<br><br>Gabriella from Lettings was exemplary in her meticulousness regarding the letting of our property from start to finish.<br>Her communication was excellent and her dedication to her job is to be admired. There are not many agents who would be catching up on their emails at 11:00pm and on their non work days.<br>Gabriella was the perfect combination of providing enough attention to us and the prospective tenants without being pushy.
