I had a property viewing confirmed by phone and email, but when I arrived at the property, the agency cancelled the appointment at the last minute. They gave inconsistent reasons for the cancellation, which was frustrating and disrespectful of my time. As someone actively looking for a place to rent, I expect basic professionalism and proper communication. Unfortunately, this experience showed the opposite.

She took the time to truly understand our needs and made stressful moments feel calm and well managed. Her communication was excellent, and we always felt supported and informed - from the initial search right through to exchange. Rampton Baseley has really stand-out/high quality properties in SW, and Elsa’s professionalism and care absolutely reflect that standard. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dedicated estate agent.

They moved quickly to get the photos live which helped generate viewings, and they kept me in the loop consistently with updates on feedback, interest levels, and next steps. What stood out most was how proactive they were — they didn’t just “list it and hope,” they actually drove things forward. I’d happily recommend them.

I’m currently dealing with a very stressful situation at home, so navigating the rental process could have easily felt overwhelming. However, Jonas has made the experience genuinely refreshing. From the start, he has been approachable, responsive, and supportive. His communication has been excellent, and he’s always taken the time to answer my questions and keep me updated, which has really helped ease some of the stress I’ve been under. After my recent experience with renting, it’s been such a relief to deal with someone who is professional, helpful, and clearly cares about making the process as smooth as possible. I’m very grateful for his support so far and would definitely recommend reaching out to him if you’re looking for a new place.

8th Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)I felt the agent had a lack of knowledge and understanding of our local area, and was too focused on metrics rather than seeing the advantages of our particular property over some of the other properties around us. I felt there was too much pressure being put on us to drop our asking price after only a few weeks in.

She managed to make a stressful process smoother and accommodated many viewings and consultations with experts for some remediation work. Her can do attitude was brilliant.
24th Feb 2026 (24 days ago)Adele has been very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me to sell my property. I would recommend her to any person wishing to sell their property. Very thorough during the process which she went through in every detail with viewings from interested people to taking photos to advertising my property online and negotiating the best price. I was impressed with all the effort Adele went to and she spent time explaining everything to me unlike other Estate Agents I spoke to. I would recommend these Estate Agents to any seller or buyer.
27th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)If I could give no stars I would. Will, who said he was the manager of the two Hackney branches, really could not manage a rice pudding. He was enthusiastic until the sale was agreed and then didn't want to bother with any communicating thereafter. He gave the clear impression that he just needed to sit back, do nothing more and wait for the commission to role. He gave clear indications that he did not have time to try and help progress the sale because he was too busy trying to make other property sales. I came away with the definite idea that Dexters work on agreeing as many sales as they possibly can and then do nothing thereafter and keep their fingers crossed that the sale completes. They work on quantity of sales and not quality of service. What Will does not take into account is that buying and selling is very stressful for the buyers and sellers and part of the agents job should be to be very active in progressing the sale and keeping in communication with other agents and the buyers and sellers until the sale is complete. Avoid listing your property for sale with Dexters to avoid disappointment.
2nd Mar 2026 (18 days ago)Two reviews in one: one as a long term landlord and one as a sales agent. LANDLORD: I have been a landlord with Horton & Garton for 17 years. Since meeting John in 2008, I have been exceptionally pleased with the letting agent, landlord relationship. John’s team’s market knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail and ability to work effectively with me being an overseas landlord with an 11 hour time difference has been invaluable. As a landlord, expect the human touch, pragmatism, practical and cost effective solutions to fixes, refurbishment. I can count the void period on my London flat in weeks on one hand - an achievement over a seventeen year period and testimony to the teams ability to attract contract and sustain lasting lease relationships. I would recommend John and team whole heartedly. SALES AGENT: John and Emma Mackie have successful sold my flat in Hammersmith. Initial my London flat and do the last 17 years a rental investment. John and Emma effectively appraised the flat, helped me get cost effective and excellent decorators to ready it for sale and ran a successful campaign resulting in 5 sealed bids. Emma and John were highly effective, personable and insightful throughout the sales process and helped my wife and I navigate the usual complexities of selling a house coupled with myself being based in a different time zone. We were delighted with the sale and would highly recommend Emma and John to handle similar transactions. Many thanks to John, Emma and the entire Horton & Garton team ! Thank you
