13th Apr 2026 (27 days ago)Justin the agent was very helpful in helping me secure the flat, organised a viewing same day and helped reassure me as a student that it was possible. Cal, a other member of staff, was also very supportive throughout the process. As always with agencies, it can be scary handing your money over for holding deposits and you have to bear in mind that making money is the primary objective. So far I am very happy with Black Katz services and hope throughout my tenancy we can operate as a team in conjunction with the land lord. Thank you for your help so far, would reccomend.

4th May 2026 (6 days ago)Barnard Marcus is an awful company, treating customers as they please. They may start ignoring you, not responding to calls and emails, never fulfil their promises and delay the return of your deposit. Lack of their internal communication between Sutton and Leighton Buzzard branches are laughable. One branch tells you one thing, another branch something else. They can't even make an effort by talking to each other. Avoid at all cost.

7th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would like to take a moment to recognise Sarah-Jane for the outstanding service she provided throughout our purchase. She was consistently cheerful, approachable, and always had a smile on her face. She kept us fully informed at every stage of the process and was extremely flexible when arranging viewing times, which we really appreciated. What stood out the most was Sarah-Jane allowing us access to the property prior to moving in so that we could give it a thorough clean. This meant a great deal to us, especially as we have young children, and being able to prepare the home in advance was incredibly important. Every time we met Sarah-Jane in person, she was warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. Overall, Beresford were a very easy and flexible agent to work with, and the experience was made even better by Sarah-Jane’s professionalism and positive attitude.- 1st Mar 2026 (10 weeks ago)Rebecca and Tiffany have been absolutely lovely in helping with my apartment search. There was less than one hour between Rebecca responding to my inquiry and my viewing with Tiffany was less! 16th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Had an amazing afternoon tea experience. It is very expensive, but worth it if you are on a vacation or special trip! You get refills of all sandwiches/scones/pastries included in the price. I asked for extra scones to take home with me to my hotel for breakfast the next morning (they were the best scones I’ve ever had with delicious clotted cream and jam) and they happily did so in a beautiful packaged box - at no extra charge. The food and service are top notch

They were always very helpful and made it easy for me living abroad as they resolved the tenants minor issues practically and helped me when there were bigger issues. Would highly recommend

Liam (Small), the Manager, immediately booked an appointment to visit my apartment to discuss the sale. Liam clearly knew the building, knew the figures for all recent sales of apartments in the building. I was certainly invited to discuss the price at which I’d like to sell the flat. It was clear that Liam and Barnard Marcus knew how to sell online. All very professional, a price was set.

9th Apr 2026 (4 weeks ago)Daniel and his team took over the sale of our property from another agent and within 8 days we accepted an offer (asking price). Following on from being under offer, Alice has spent hours and hours updating us on every step of the sale. We have not had to chase them for anything, as they have been absolutely amazing. I have already passed on Daniel’s details to a few friends, looking to sell soon. I can’t recommend them enough. Don’t waste your time with the other, bigger agents. They are a small team and incredibly dedicated. Thank you for everything Daniel & the team.

The whole team's professionalism, responsiveness, and end-to-end service made the entire process smooth and stress-free. They are highly recommended and trustworthy.
5th May 2026 (5 days ago)????? We should have called Alex and Jane first. Here's why ?????? Selling our detached family home in Harlow (£700k–£800k range) was a long and frustrating journey until it wasn't. We interviewed over 10 agents before appointing Fortune & Coates. Glossy brochure, compelling pitch but after months on the market, no offers, pressure to reduce and persuaded us to sign with them by asserting that they could achieve a higher sale price for our home. We switched to Douglas Allen. Same story. More months, no offers and mounting pressure to drop significantly. We were deflated and questioning everything ?????? Then we found Durden & Hunt and everything changed for us ?????? Alex was exceptional from the start. Knowledgeable, personable and refreshingly honest. He asked brilliant questions, listened carefully and gave us a clear-eyed read of the market with no spin whatsoever. Alex explained that the strategies used by our previous agents were ineffective and crucially, he told us why. The optimal approach he advised is to list slightly below market value to generate strong interest and competitive demand allowing the market to determine true worth organically. He also cautioned that overpricing a property stifles interest and can lead buyers to question whether something is wrong. ?????? His assessment proved to be exactly right. He has stayed in close contact and continued offering genuine advice on our next property purchase something he has absolutely no obligation to do. In an industry where attention disappears once contracts are exchanged, that level of care is extraordinarily rare and deeply appreciated. Jane Lewis is quite simply, a rare gem ?????? Exceptionally knowledgeable, wonderfully warm and so genuinely kind. She qualifies every opportunity meticulously, ensuring only serious buyers came through our door. Her approach, her manner and her dedication are things you have to experience to truly appreciate. Words don't do her justice ?????? We listed early October. Less than four weeks later we had multiple offers. By early November it was agreed at the price we had originally hoped for ? Looking back, the lesson is clear?????? An overvaluation might feel flattering but it's a trap. It stalls momentum, erodes buyer confidence and costs you time and potentially money that you can't get back. Alex and Jane didn't tell us what we wanted to hear. They told us what we needed to hear and that honesty is exactly what sold our home at the price we always believed it deserved ?????? If you're in the Harlow or Epping area and serious about selling, please learn from our experience. Don't make the tour of the market that we did before finding the right answer. Go to Durden & Hunt first and ask for Alex and Jane. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone and everyone. You will be in the very best of hands ?????? Five stars doesn't feel like enough. If Google allowed 10 stars, they would have them without hesitation. Thank you, Alex. Thank you, Jane ?? ? ??????
